All products are checked for faults
in the factory and packed in special
boxes.
Note:
We nevertheless ask you, immedi-
ately after receipt of the SCOOTER
best while the delivery agent is
present – to check for any damag-
es that might have occurred during
transport.
Please arrange the following if you
believe damage occurred during
transport:
a) Draw up a Damage report – the
carrier is required to do this.
b) Draw up a Letter of subrogation
you assign to the supplier all claims
resulting from this damage.
c) Send back the BILL OF LADING, the
DAMAGE REPORT and the LETTER
OF SUBROGATION to us.
We are unable to accept any claims
for compensation if you fail to ob-
serve these instructions or notify us
of damage after the goods have been
accepted.
Note:
The packaging of the SCOOTER
should be stored for a further
transport that might become nec-
essary.
FOREWORD
We thank you for the confi dence you
have placed in our company by way of
choosing the SCOOTER.
The SCOOTER is a technical aid. It is
subject to explanations, requires reg-
ular care and can cause danger when
used improperly. The correct handling
must therefore be learned.
This manual is to help you get accus-
tomed to the handling of your SCOOT-
ER as well as to prevent accidents.
Note:
Please note that the illustrated
equipment variants can deviate
from your model.

and maintenance is listed under

Vehicles without active lighting
may not participate in public traf-

SCOOTER up to 6 km/h
A liability insurance is only required
for a SCOOTER over 6 km/h, but gen-
erally recommendable.
Electronic vehicles such as SCOOT-
ERs, wheelchairs, auxiliary drives,
electro-mobiles that achieve a
maximum speed of no more than
6 km/h are included in the private
liability insurance at no extra cost.
For this you only need to present
a formless application to your re-
sponsible insurance.
CE regulations
Note:
This vehicle corresponds to the re-
spective demands of the EC-direc-
tive 93/42 EWG.
However, the possibility of interfer-
ence from high-frequency radiation
from other electrical equipment can-
not be excluded.
High-frequency radiation exists in the
proximity of, for example, radar and
broadcasting stations, all types of ra-
dio sets and radio telephones. Stop
the SCOOTER and switch it off imme-
diately if it reacts in an uncontrolled
manner or causes interference to oth-
er electronic devices.
Note:
The SCOOTER can disturb highly
sensitive, electromagnetic fi elds of
other electronic devices, as for ex-
ample antitheft devices in stores.
The connection of other electrical de-
vices can also cause malfunctions.

Generally do not operate the

rounding of medical devices with
a high hazard potential and/or life

Specifi cations
The SCOOTER is an environment-
friendly electric vehicle. It was de-
veloped to extend the mobility of
persons with health-related or age-re-
lated restrictions.
The SCOOTER fulfi ls the < demands
of handicapped people > accord-
ing to EN 614-1.
Use
The SCOOTER is especially suited for
use in spacious indoor areas.
It serves exclusively for the convey-
ance of a sitting person.
High-frequency radiation
Mobile telephones should be
switched off during the use of the
electric vehicle. – A mobile tel-
ephone also transmits in standby
mode, i.e. during the periods be-
tween calls.

Tips for accident prevention
First driving exercises
A reduced maximum speed must be
pre-selected on the control panel for
the initial driving practice. Make your-
self familiar with the driving behaviour
of the SCOOTER in small steps. The
SCOOTER should only then be used
outside of your familiar surroundings
when it is fully under control.
Carry out a brief braking and steer-
ing test at a – very low speed – af-
ter the initial movement.
Approach and overcome obstacles
slowly and at a right angle (1).

Safety information
Curves and slopes are to driven on
with adequate speed.
Danger of tilting in curves!
Do not drive on higher inclinations
and slopes than noted in the tech-
nical data.
There is a danger of tilting over
when braking during reverse
downhill rides!
The support castors may touch
ground while driving down ob-
stacles such as curbs and therefore
the drive wheels may loose surface
contact. The SCOOTER is no longer
manoeuvrable!
Do not pull out the drive key while
driving. This will switch off the
SCOOTER and cause it to stop im-
mediately.
Do not drive with the steering col-
umn locked!
The attachment/detachment of ac-
cessories/components can alter the
driving behaviour.
Temperature infl uences through
lamps, sun or other sources of
warmth can damage the uphol-
stery parts, handgrips and panel-
ling or heat them up so much that
it may lead to scorching when they
come in contact with bare skin.
– Protect bare and heat sensitive
skin accordingly.
Do not expose the SCOOTER to ex-
treme weather conditions.
Locking the SCOOTER
Pull out the driving key to prevent an
unauthorised use of the SCOOTER.

Drive-/push mode
Note:
Switch the SCOOTER into the push
mode only for manoeuvring on a
level surface.
Selecting the push mode
First bring the drive key into the driv-
ing key position OFF by pulling it off.
The SCOOTER is now switched off.
Push the selection lever toward
the back (1) to activate the push
mode.
Selecting the motor mode
For the driving mode the selection le-
ver must have locked into place.
Push the selection lever toward
the front (2) to switch to driving
mode.
Afterwards insert the drive key as far
as possible into the drive key socket.
This engages the driving operation.
The SCOOTER is now ready for
driving.

push mode while driving!

Adjusting the steering column
Loosen the hand wheel (1) to adjust
the steering column.

Hold onto the steering column
with one hand at the handle bar in
order to prevent it from uninten-
tionally swivelling down.

the desired position of the steering
column is reached.
The toothing grips fi rmly through
slight movements of the steering
column during tightening.

Opening the steering column lock
To disengage the steering column lock

Switching on the SCOOTER
For activation insert the drive key (3)

Do not move the acceleration lever
(1) during the activation phase of
about one second.
The electronic is ready for opera-
tion when the indicator gauge for
operational readiness (4) lights up
constantly.
Battery charge condition
The battery indicator (2) displays the
battery charge condition after the
switch-on.
Note:
The value shown depends on the
ambient temperature, the age of
the battery and the type of load. It
should therefore only be taken as
an approximate value.
If the indicator gauge for opera-
tional readiness (status) blinks
slowly the batteries should be
charged.
If the indicator gauge for opera-
tional readiness (status) blinks rap-
idly there is a failure.

Recharging batteries
The batteries should be charged im-
mediately after the daily use of the
SCOOTER in order to have the full
driving distance available on the next
day.
Every battery has a normal "self-dis-
charge". The batteries should be
recharged once a month when the
SCOOTER is not used for a long pe-
riod of time. This keeps the SCOOTER
ready for use.
Batteries should only be charged with
a battery charger that is suitable for
the type and rating of the batteries.
The guarantee is only preserved to
its full extent when battery chargers
supplied and recommended by us are
used.

Avoid spark build up through elec-
trical static (for example caused by
synthetic fl oor covers).
Observe the contents of the op-
erating manual for the battery
charger.

Charging procedure
To charge the batteries, fi rst switch
off the SCOOTER and then plug the
battery charger plug into the battery
charging socket (1).
Afterwards plug the mains plug of the
battery charger into a corresponding
outlet. The charging process is now
started.
Note:
Also observe the information in
the < Batteries > section and the
operating manual for the battery
charger.

Caution:
Do not insert anything other than
the battery charger plug into the
battery charging socket.
– Danger of short circuit!
It is best to charge the battery over-
night. A full charging of the batteries
takes approximately 8 hours.
Note:
After the charging has been com-
pleted fi rst separate the battery
charger from the power supply and
afterward pull the battery charg-
ing plug from the charging socket.

the battery charge condition after the
system test phase has ended.
Battery capacity
The needle of the battery gauge
moves left to the beginning of the
red display when the battery capacity
lessens.
Battery display
The battery indicator (1) displays the
available battery capacity as follows:
The colours of the display have the
following meaning:
green = regular operating area
yellow = Begin of the reserve sector
– Recharging necessary
red = Reserve sector of the batteries
exhausted
– recharge immediately
With totally depleted batteries the
indicator gauge for operational readi-
ness (status) blinks.
– Recharge batteries immediately in
order to avoid a possible battery dam-
age.
Depending on the type of error the
battery control light blinks at differ-
ent intervals.

Note:
A suffi ciently exact capacity display
is only possible while driving on
level surfaces.
– Uphill/downhill travel falsifi es
the indication.
Evaluation
The value shown depends on the sur-
rounding temperature, the age of
the battery as well as the strain and is
therefore to be regarded with limita-
tions.
The kilometric performance of the
SCOOTER respectively the batteries,
should be tested at least once.
/
