NOTE: When your DC Cart has not been used or has been
inactive for over a 24 hour period, it is recommended that
the unit be put into “Sleep” mode to insure battery life.
Please follow these steps (once unit is in sleep mode, to
awaken unit simply plug-in to AC outlet).
•GototheAdvancedDiagnosticScreen.Goto:Setup”inthemenubar.
Scrolldownto“SleepMode”,readpromptandclickyes.
WARNING: If not deploying immediately, make sure the
power system remains plugged in.

1. Prepare for Cart Set-up
Plug-insystemtoACoutlet(cartwillcomeoutof“sleep
mode”)(A).Thechargingindicatoronthefuelgauge
(B)willashwhilechargingandwillturnoffwhenthe
batteryisfullycharged.Theaveragetimeforthe
batterytoreachfullloadis5-6hours.
Note:Batterylifeismaximizedwhenfullychargedat
leastonceaweek.

2.Connectpoweradaptercableintoappropriate
connectionport(C)(usuallyfoundonthe
sidepanelsoflaptop).

(usuallyfoundontheleftsidepaneloflaptop).
Monitor Setup - DC Monitor is Recommended
(if Laptop Cart is being used, disregard this step)

3. Electronic Keyless Lock System
(optional)
To unlock: Entercode(2244),turnleverto
unlockedposition(F)(turningknobclockwise)
To Lock:Turnlevertoclosedposition(G),and
andentercodetolock.
To change user code from factory code,
enter #, user code, enter new user code,
enter user code again for confirmation
(for example #, 2244, 6688, 6688).

displayedarebatterystateofhealth,lowbattery,andshutdown.
11. Your Initial Set-up is complete. Please allow batteries to
fully charge (average time is 5-6 hours).
4. Software Setup
LoadDCLive™(Series301)SoftwareCDintolaptop.Softwarewillautomaticallyinstall.
Ifitdoesnotautomaticallyinstall,gotostartmenuofcomputer,select“mycomputer”,
ndsoftwarecd,anddouble-clickcd.SelectSetupInstallerandgothroughsetup
instructions.Whencomplete,rebootcomputerandreopentheDCLive™(Series301)
softwareprogram.

Diagnostics Screen
Toaccessdiagnosticscreen,enterpassword(SERIES 301).TheDiagnosticScreen
willappear(tochangepassword,gotoitem#6).
ThediagnosticInterfaceScreenhasapulldownmenuitemcalled“Setup”found
intheuppermargin.Thismustbeselectedtoaccesstheeditoftheinitial
systemparameters.
