Dear Customer
The Operating instructions will allow you to become acquainted with your machine and pro-
vide clear information about safe and correct handling, maintenance and care. Take the time
to read the instructions all the way through.
The operating instructions are a part of the machine. They must be stored in an accessible
location at the workplace for the entire service life of the machine. The user must independ-
ently supplement the instructions regarding national regulations on accident prevention, traf-
fic safety and environment protection.
All persons that are entrusted with the operation, maintenance or transport of the machine
must read and understand these instructions, in particular the safety instructions, before be-
ginning work. Any warranty claims lapse on non-observance of these Instructions.
If you have any questions regarding the contents of these Operating instructions or further
questions regarding the machine, please contact your PÖTTINGER service partner.
Correct maintenance and care according to the defined maintenance intervals will ensure the
operational and traffic safety, as well as the reliability of your machine.
Use only original spare parts or spare parts and accessories that are approved by PÖTTING-
ER Landtechnik GmbH. Only original spare parts that are approved by us have been tested
and accordingly are appropriate for use in your machine. The use of any unapproved parts
forfeits any guarantee or guarantee claim. Even after the end of the warranty period we rec-
ommend using original spare parts to ensure the performance of your machine.
The Product Liability Law obligates manufacturers/dealers to transfer operating instructions
when selling machines, as well as to instruct clients regarding the safety, operation and
maintenance regulations concerning the machine. Confirmation in the form of a declaration
of transfer is required to verify that the implement and Instructions have been transferred cor-
rectly. The declaration of transfer is delivered together with the machine.
Every self-employed person and farmer is an entrepreneur within the meaning of the product
liability legislation. Therefore corporate property damage according to the Product Liability
Law is excluded from the liability of PÖTTINGER. Corporate property damage according to
the Product Liability Law refers to damage caused by the machine. Damage to the machine
is not property damage according to the Product Liability Law.
The operating instructions are a part of the machine, therefore you must transfer them when
selling/transferring the machine to a new user. Train and instruct the new owner in the regu-
lations stated.

Functional elements
Names and functions
Pos. Element Function
1 Universal drawbar Drawbar height infinitely adjustable. A drawbar eye coupling is
used for top attachment (lower PTO shaft). A drawbar coupling
or drawbar eye coupling is used for lower hitching (top PTO
shaft).
2 Support stand The continuously adjustable support leg supports the machine
in the parking position.
3 Gearbox Input gearbox from tractor.
4 Pre-compression
unit
The pre-compression device hitched with a spring can be adjus-
ted to the swath height so that it can compact the compression
material along a rotating roll guide and a baffle plate.
5 Pickup The pick-up with 8-fold adjustable float function and a collection
width of 2050 mm (MASTER models) or 2300 mm (PRO mod-
els) collects the pressed material.
6 LIFTUP-rotor The LIFTUP overhead rotor feeds the material to the cutterbar.
7 FLEXCUT cutter-
bar and TWIN-
BLADE blade
FLEXCUT cutterbar with up to 32 double-sided knives and knife
group control. The cutting length can be adjusted by swivelling
out or in knife groups.
8 Knife bar with
EASY MOVE
function
Hydraulically extendable and retractable cutterbar, laterally ex-
tendable on rollers.
9 Cutting base Can be swung in and out hydraulically in the event of overfilling
of the cutterbar.
10 IMPRESS F:
Fixed pressing
chamber with
pressing belt
The fixed bale chamber allows the production of round bales
with a diameter of 1250 mm.
IMPRESS V: Vari-
able chamber ba-
ler with compres-
sion belts
The variable bale chamber allows the production of round bales
with continuously adjustable diameters.
11 Tying system The bale in the bale chamber is bound with the binding device.
12 Tailgate Hydraulically operated tailgate for bale ejection.
13 Bale ramp (op-
tional)
Due to the optionally provided bale kicker, driving back from the
swath for unloading can be omitted.
14 Ascent The platform offers safe access to the tying system so that you
are able to insert the tying medium.
15 Chassis (Optional) Running gear with compressed air brake and me-
chanical parking brake.
(Option) Chassis with hydraulic brake / emergency brake valve
and mechanical parking brake.

the rotor region. Standard with MASTER. Optional for PRO de-
vices)
Names and functions (Winders)
Pos. Element Function
16 Bale carriage Hydraulically operated longitudinal carriage for the discharge of the
tied bale from the chamber baler.
17 Transfer lift Hydraulically swivelling lifting device for the transfer of the bale on-
to the wrapping table.
18 Wrapping table Hydraulically swivelling wrapping table for the transfer and unload-
ing of the bale. Bales that are not to be wrapped can be unloaded
without wrapping.
19 Wrapper belt Hydraulically operated three-part belt for horizontal bale rotation
during the wrapping process.
20 Wrapper arms Hydraulically operated coiling device for bale wrapping in silage
foil.

lage foil.
21 Foil magazine Hydraulically swivelling foil magazine for easy insertion and detach-
ing of foil rolls.
22 Wrapper arms
safety bar
Protection device so as to avoid clamping in the wrapper. The
wrapper gear is switched off as soon as the safety bar is operated.
Terminal
Machine operation takes place via the terminal. It shows the current machine status and
gives acoustic and optical warnings in case of a malfunction.
Depending on the configuration, the round baler is equipped with a SELECT CONTROL ter-
minal (1), a POWER CONTROL terminal (2) or a CCI terminal (3) or (4) (option).
The machine can be operated via the ISOBUS tractor terminal.
