Guidelines
Recommended incoming water pressure:
30 to 35 psi [207 to 241 kPa].
See watering system manual for
installation information.
Operation
Adjust water column by turning the knob on
the bottom of the regulator, see Figure 1.
Functional Modes:
There are three (3) selectable modes for
operating the watering regulator
(OFF, REGULATE, and FLUSH). These
modes are selected by using the individual
regulate and flush control knobs.
Setting Functional Modes:
1.Rotate the control knob to free the latch.
2.Pull up on the control knob. Control knobs: UP position is ON and DOWN position is OFF.
3.Always lock the control knob into position by rotating knob into the
shown positions, see Figure 3.
PDS™ Regulators:
PDS™ regulators are to operate in the REGULATE mode, see Figure 2.
Flushing does not require turning off the regulate control knob.
DO NOT FLUSH DRINKER LINES WITH PDS™
CONTROL unless drinker lines are pressurized with water!
Product damage may occur if this caution is not followed.
Regulators MUST HAVE
minimum water column height set
above the stand tube outlet PRIOR
to pressurizing the PDS
system with air, see Figure 4.
DO NOT PRESSURIZE PDS™ SYSTEM
WITH AIR BEFORE SETTING THE MINIMUM WATER
COLUMN HEIGHT! Product damage will occur from
water hammer if this caution is not followed.

Stand Tube Installation
Folding Stand Tube Operation
Clean the inside and outside of the stand tube at least once a week.
Failure to use the latch release lever could result in damage to the mechanism, voiding the warranty!
Place o-ring
as shown
Install tube clamp
below o-ring
1.Place one (1) o-ring against the shoulder of the stand tube outlet. Lubricate the
o-ring with water or soapy water. DO NOT USE PETROLEUM BASED
LUBRICANTS!
2.Push the stand tube assembly over the lubricated o-ring until it hits the top of the
regulator. Make sure the o-ring is properly positioned.
3.Locate the clamp below the o-ring and tighten. Make sure the stand tube is
secure but do not overtighten the clamp.
Normal operation position.
Clean the inside and outside of the stand tube at least once a week.
When in the normal operating position use a pipe brush to clean. Chore-Time part number
29465 pipe brush will pass thru the folding mechanism in the normal operation position.
Latch Release
Lever
Folding the stand tube
To fold down the stand tube, push the latch release lever in and
fold the top section over until it stops. A click or slight catch
when folding the stand tube is considered normal.
Failure to use the latch release lever could
result in damage to the mechanism, voiding the warranty.
To raise the stand tube to the normal operating position rotate the
stand tube up until the latch engages. It is not necessary to use
the latch release lever when raising the stand tube.
Winching preparation position
It is normal for the water in the stand tube to drain out of the folding
mechanism when the stand tube is folded. This prevents potential
damage from freezing.
When in the folded position the seal in the mechanism prevents water
from leaking out of the water line.
