3D Eyewear Operation Help Guide
The Eyewear is suitable for use with the
V
T20 series 3D Televisions. Two sets of eyewear
come with each model
. The 3D Eyewear enables the viewer to view 3D content from broadcast or replayed
from a Blu-Ray player. The applicable formats are contained on page 4 of this guide.

Attaching the Nose Pad
The glasses are supplied with two bridge nose pad supports, which
are suitable for both adults and children. They can be mounted in
three different positions, as shown in the diagram left.
How to Check the Operation of 3D Eyewear:
To switch the eyewear on press the power button as shown in Fig.2

3D Eyewear Battery Checks
The eyewear operates from a user replaceable 3 volt button battery cell CR2032L/1BP. At switch on if the battery
voltage has fallen below
2.0 volts, the power led will blink 5 times indicating that it should be replaced.
N.B. When the battery voltage becomes low, the usable range will be affected or miss-operation may occur.
How to Confirm the 3D Eyewear Operation
To confirm the correct 3D eyewear shutter operation, switch on the eyewear as shown above (Fig.2) Press the
Viera tools button on the remote control and then select the 3D icon. The 3D settings menu will be displayed, ensure
the picture display is selected from 2D to 3D. To confirm the I.R synchronising signal is being transmitted from the
television, use a mobile phone or digital video camera without an I.R filter as shown in the diagrams below.
N.B
. The LED’s will not be visible if using a camera that incorporates an I.R filter.

Your 3D Eyewear lens system is now ready to test; you will notice a change in the liquid crystal lens system, the
eyewear will change state from light to dark as shown in (Fig.3) The liquid crystal eyewear shutters system opens
and closes dependent on the timing signal which is controlled by the IR transmitter on your TV.

How to Test the 3D Eyewear Operation
The 3D glasses have a liquid crystal shutter lens system; the timing is
controlled by receiving IR signals from the TV shown in fig 3 Eyewear
as shown above.
Coverage area and viewing range of 3D Eyewear
The viewing distance from the screen is calculated by using a measurement of 3 times the height of the screen.
Example Recommended distance:
For a 50 inch TV: 1.9 meters or more
For a 65 inch TV: 2.5 meters or more
If the 3D Eyewear is placed outside the available area for 5 minutes or longer the 3D Eyewear will be turned off
automatically.
Please Note: the range of the Eyewear will be affected dependent on any obstacles between the infrared
Sensor on the TV and the 3D Eyewear. If the Eyewear is turn on and out of sight of the TV, after a few minutes
the Eyewear will automatically turn off.
