1. Safety Instructions
Read these safety instructions and the operation manual first before you install and commission the camera.
Keep the manual in a safe place for later reference.
Protect your camera from contamination with water and humidity to prevent it from permanent damage.
Never switch the camera on when it gets wet. Have it checked at an authorized service center in this case.
Never operate the camera outside of the specifications as this may prevent the camera functioning.
Do not operate the cameras beyond their specified temperature, humidity or power ratings.
Operate the camera only at a temperature range of -10°C to +50°C and at a humidity of max. 90%.
To disconnect the power cord of the unit, pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
Pay attention when laying the connection cable and observe that the cable is not subject to heavy loads, kinks, or damage and no moisture can get in.
Do not attempt to disassemble the camera board from the dome.
The warranty becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorized persons. Do not open the camera housing.
Installation, maintenance and repair have to be carried out only by authorized service centers.
Before opening the cover disconnect the unit from mains input.
The fitter is responsible for the system of protection being followed in accordance with the technical data, e.g. by sealing of the cable outlet with silicone.
Contact your local dealer in case of malfunction.
Only use original parts and original accessories from Videor E. Hartig GmbH.
Do not use strong or abrasive detergents when cleaning the dome. Use a dry cloth to clean the dome surface.
In case the dirt is hard to remove, use a mild detergent and wipe gently.
Do not open the camera housing in order to install the camera.
If you do open it, however, bear in mind that the front part of the housing is not secured by an arresting cable, i.e. that the heating supply is NOT fitted
with a cord grip and can be torn away by the weight of the front part.
NOTE: This is a class A digital device. This digital device can cause harmful interference in a residential area; in this case the user may be required to take
appropriate corrective action at his/her own expense.
2. Introduction

The Day & Night AutoFocus Zoom color DSP Network Camera provides especially for closed circuit television (CCTV) and security surveillance application.
The Network Camera supports the operation through the network.

3.4 Installation
There are two ways of installing the camera.
1. Cable through the wall with mount base. 2. Using the conduit knockout punched with
the mount base.

3.4.1 Installation 1 (Cable through the Wall with the Mount Base)
A. Drill the mounting location, using the template sheet (or the bottom of the mount base) as a template.
B. Insert the plastic anchors into the hole which has just drilled.
C. Connect BNC cable and communication lines.
D. Fit the screw holes of the mount base into the plastic anchors.
E. Screw up the mount screws (T-20).
F. Adjust the camera suitably using the pan & tilt function, and fasten both the socket set screw „A” (1x) and torx lock screw „B” (2x) to fix the camera.

3.4.2 Instillation 2 (Using the Conduit Knockout punched with Mount Base)

The Camera can be controlled remotely by an external device or control system, such as a control keyboard, using RS-485 half-duplex. Connect Market Rx+, Rx- to Tx+

3.7 Setting up Network Connectivity
3.7.1 Allocating or changing the camera IP address
Requirements:
PC with fixed IP address available.
In WINDOWS XP, the firewall is disabled during IP allocation.
CD with viewer software (NT Manager), setup software and client software available.
Camera and PC are connected via a standard RJ-45 crossover cable in a network-compatible way.
MAC address of the camera is known.
Free IP address for camera is known.
Name of the employed Ethernet adapter is known.

5. Camera Control via Web Browser
5.1 Connecting camera with Web Browser
Requirements:
Camera and PC are connected via a standard RJ-45 LAN cable in a network-compatible way.
Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) installed in the PC.
Current version of ActiveX/HVC installed in the PC.
IP address of the camera is known.
Step Action
1 Open the web browser.
Note: A separate web browser window must be opened for each camera.
2 Enter the IP address of the camera into the address line of the web browser.
Example: http://192.168.0.2
3 Enter user name (admin) and password (no entry).
4 Select login.
Result: The camera is connected with the web browser.

5.2 Real-Time Monitoring
The monitoring screen comes in four screen modes like D1, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, and 160 x 120. Users are allowed to select the most suitable one out of those
modes. Please, adjust the mode in accordance with your PC specifications and monitoring purposes.
In case of real-time monitoring with the Web Browser, one Network Camera will be connected to just one Web Browser. However, this case is not suitable for monitoring
various screens at the same time. If users are to monitor various images at the same time, please refer to the eVideoClient.
HTTP tunnel mode
When the screen is not indicated, check. (Notice: „unicast mode” only it is applied.)
If users are to control the volume of a microphone and speaker connected to a
user PC, they should adjust the user PC volume regardless of the microphone and
speaker volume control set in Network Camera.

5.3 NETWORK CAMERA Setting
The Network Camera setting is divided into video, alarm, PTZ and system settings. And the detailed screen will be provided for each setting.
5.3.1 Video Setting
The video setting is classified into Basic, MPEG-4. The Basic menu includes a setting menu for real-time monitoring. Its setting only is enough to complete a setting for
viewing the monitoring screen. The detailed setting menu is able to perform screen sizing, filtering, compressibility, and brightness control.
5.3.1.1 Basic Setting
Image Appearance
Resolution
It enables users to determine a basic screen size when having an access through the Web Browser or PC program.
The screen size control comes in four modes like D1, 640x480, 320x240, and 160x128. Users can reset the selected screen size anytime while monitoring the screen
on a real-time basis.
Image filter
The image filter control enables users to reinforce the image quality in a strong or weak way. The default is „disabled”.
Compression
When it is necessary to adjust a smooth transmission status according to network situations, users can increase the compressibility to carry out the network trans
-
mission stably. On the other hand, when it is necessary to maintain a detailed monitoring screen by enhancing the image quality, users can do so by decreasing the
compressibility. In ease case, please adjust this function according to the network status and monitoring purposes. The default is 2000 (Kbps).
BCSH Adjust
Brightness
The screen brightness can be adjusted from 0 to 255 stages, and the default is 128. The brightness may differ depending on the equipment and PC monitor status.
Contrast
The screen contrast can be adjusted from 0 to 127 stages, and the default is 73. The contrast may differ depending on the equipment and PC monitor status.
Saturation
The screen saturation can be adjusted from 0 to 127 stages, and the default is 64. The saturation may differ depending on the equipment and PC monitor status.
