Fitting instructions for the C5-window
Decide on the window cut-out according to the
drawing and mark it out. Before cutting the opening
and to avoid scratches on the outside, cover the
area outside the marked cut-out with adhesive tape.
Cut out the opening with a suitable tool (piercing saw, jig-
saw or a router).
Decide the position of the hinge rail in accordance with
the drawing.
Apply the sealing strip under the hinge rail.

Screw on the hinge rail (if necessary pre-drill the
holes).
Fit the sealing cord underneath the
end pieces and screw them tight to
the left- and right-hand ends of the
hinge rail.
Clean the cut surfaces in the window cut-out.
Fit the sealing moulding (with the sealing form
outwards), starting in the middle of the bottom
of the window cut-out and press well home
right round (pressure should be applied from
the outside towards the inside).
Caution: the rubber must be suitable for the
thickness of the wall.
Carefully cut the sealing strip overlapping in the
window cut-out (push together gently to ensure
no gap is caused) and press it home flush.
Fix the sealing strip in place
with staples or other suitable
method, paying particular
attention to the corners, and
where the two ends meet.

Push in the filler moulding right round, using
the seal insert fitting roller, and starting at the
top.
Hang the window in the hinge rail
(window obliquely from above –
approach the hinge strip at an angle of
about 110° - fit in place and carefully
swivel downwards).
Caution: when swivelling it down, the
window must not be allowed to catch.
Decide on the position of the holders for the
lower and side locking levers and screw
them in place. Difference in level between
window and the outer panelling should be
about 1/8" [3.5mm].

With the window closed, retract the opening
bracket completely. Position the upper fixing
point for the bracket in the middle of the filler
moulding and screw it into place.
