Brass strain relief

• Remove M70 mic from JBM70
• Remove foam for easy access to
JBM70 box
• Drill 2 inch hole in the ceiling tile
• Place JBM70 box over the ceiling tile
2 inch hole
• Insert M70 through hole A and rotate
to hole “B”
• Securely tighten the knurled
brass fasteners
• Insert foam back into JBM70
• Insert plenum wire (Belden 9451P or
82761 or equivalent through strain relief
(see #2)
Terminate to male terminal block
connector (see #3)
• Install to M70 mating connector (see #4)
Tighten strain relief and close lid of JBM70
box (see #5)
• Adjust mic position (see #6) Bottom view of junction box

Slide the threaded posts into hole A.
Twist clockwise to hole “B” and tighten
the knurled nuts securely.
MOUNTING AND WIRING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open lid of junction box.
Separate the supplied 3 pin
connectors (male/female).
4. Connect terminal
connectors.
6. To adjust microphone,
unscrew the grill assembly.
2. Insert plenum cable
through strain relief nut, then
connect to the terminal.
Recommended cable:
Belden 9451P - .124” O.D. or
Belden 82761 - .116” O.D.
5. Tighten down the strain
relief nut to hold wire rmly
in place and close junction
box lid.
3. Wiring:
1 = Ground
2 = Blue (+)
3 = Yellow (-)

SEISMIC RESTRAINT INSTRUCTIONS

Wrap the cable around a
beam, eyebolt or hanger.
Next, slip the cable through
the top of cable stay
barrel pulling excess cable
until taut.
To release cable, depress the
cable release pin on either
end to release the loop or to
extend cable length.
