Installation & Operating Manual

Audix M70WD is an integrated microphone system designed to provide high-quality audio performance over Ethernet networks. With its patented swivel mounting system, the microphone can be rotated in any direction and angled up to 30 degrees toward a sound source, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including conferences, presentations, and live performances.

The M70WD features a condenser transducer with a frequency response of 60 Hz - 10 kHz and a cardioid polar pattern, ensuring clear and focused audio capture. Its high sensitivity of 38 mV / Pa @ 1 kHz and low equivalent noise level of 22 dB make it ideal for capturing even the most subtle sounds.

INSTALLATION & OPERATING GUIDE
DANTE® | AES67 INTEGRATED MICROPHONE SYSTEM
Thank you for choosing Audix. The Audix M70WD is part of an integrated microphone
system that is the fast, trouble-free way to stream Audix audio performance through
Ethernet networks. Like all Audix products, it is designed to provide many years
of reliable service. Please read this user guide prior to installation and use for
optimal performance.
AIMING THE MICROPHONE
The patented swivel mounting system on the M70 can
be rotated in any direction and angled up to 30 degrees
toward a sound source.
1. To access the microphone capsule, remove the
microphone grill by rotating counter-clockwise.
2. Aim the capsule as needed and reinstall the
microphone grill.
INSTALLATION
1. Determine microphone placement, remove
ceiling tile, and drill 2-inch (51mm) hole in the
desired location
2. Remove the knurled ring from the M70
module and insert the module through the hole
3. Reinstall the knurled ring and hand-tighten
4. Connect one end of a CAT 5 - 7 cable to
the RJ45 jack at the top of the module
and one end to the single-element
RJ45 jack on the Audix DN4 or DN43
microphone interface
5. The M70WD is equipped with red and green
LED status indicators, which can be
controlled through available third-party
plugins for the Audix DN4 and DN43
Dante® | AES67 microphone interfaces.

SEISMIC/FIRE RESTRAINT INSTRUCTIONS
Attach the restraint cable to the module using the ring connector at one end of the cable.
Wrap the cable around a beam, eyebolt or hanger. Next, slip the cable through the top
of cable stay barrel pulling g excess cable until taut
To release cable, depress the cable release pin on either end to release the loop or to
