Auto Tracking PIR Camera
Not recommended for installation where water/rain may enter the
camera from the back side. It is best to install under a canopy.

// INSTALLATION ...
Before installing, plan camera location and wiring access. Take in
consideration light conditions. Never install cameras in a low light
room pointing straight into a sunny area, even if your camera has
back light compensation because it will not be enough.
Step 1: Loosen the locking screw. It is not necessary to completely
remove the locking screw.
Step 2: Firmly pry the base and front cover apart as demonstrated
in the following image. To prevent damage to the cover, grip the
body of the camera as shown.
// WIRING THE CAMERA ...
Before securing the camera to the selected location, follow the
procedures to properly wire all connections. All wiring must be
inserted through the cable access opening found in the back.
Step 1: Insert the relay cable through the cable access and affix to
terminal block. Repeat procedure for the tamper switch cables.
Step 2: Entwine the two inner ends of the audio/video cables to
form a single connection (see result in the image above). Attach the
three cable ends to the terminal block. Before attaching the
audio/video cables, entwine the inner wires to form a single
connection.
NOTE: Audio is only available for indoor type model, TPI4-380.
Recommended Cabling
Relay and tamper switch 1007: 22 or 24 AWG hook up wire.
Audio/Video: 3mm 75 ohm wiring
// WALL MOUNTING ...
Mark the location before drilling any hold. Mount the base firmly to
the selected position and secure with the supplied screws (x3).
The camera must be firmly secured to provide accurate scanning
operation.
NOTE: For wooden surfaces, 2mm drill holes are needed. For
concrete surfaces, 4mm drill holes and screw anchors are
recommended. Ensure the cables are firmly connected to the
terminals and the DC plug is inserted correctly. Improper
installation of this device could result in improper operation or
damage to the device.
// FUNCTION SETTING ...
1) Once the camera is installed, set the scan position and
function settings. Use the list that follows to make the
appropriate adjustments. After initial power-up, proceed to set
function selector as desired by user, then replace the front
cover.

Stationary position (default).
No scanning or tracking. Use position selector (S2) to
select camera position.

Auto tracking setting.
Set single coverage area and track all covered
zones. The camera pans to track any object that
triggers the sensor device. Once the object moves
away, the area is monitored for 10 sec. before the
camera returns to the pre-set coverage area.
NOTE: LED flashes continuously for 60 sec. after
changing settings. When an object moves between
zones, for example A and B, the camera scans both
zones until the object is no longer within zone A. The
camera then scans only zone B.

Auto scanning.
The camera continuously auto scans each
operational zone. There is a one second delay
between each scan. NOTE: LED flashes continuously
for 60 sec. after changing settings.

To adjust the function selector, move the S1 switch (see
previous illustration) to the desired function. After setting the
function selector (S1), set the scan position.

Use a flat tipped screwdriver to rotate the selector to the home
position (default: position 4).
NOTE: This function is only available on security setting 2 and
3. In function setting 3, the position of the camera can set to
one fixed scan zone. In function setting 2, the position selector
defines the home position. This is the preset area the camera
returns to after 10 sec. when the auto tracking camera is
triggered, and the object has moved away. The video terminal
carries the output signal.
2) RELAY
Relay settings determine the camera’s reaction when
externally connected DVR record or an alarm is triggered. In
function setting 1, video recording is set to OFF. In function
setting 2, an alarm trigger sets video recording ON after
panning to the respective zone. After returning to home
position, video recording turns off after a 10 sec. period. In
function setting 3, video recording is set to ON and only
records the preset stationary zone. See examples below.
Example 1: If S2 is set to Area C, the camera turns ON if the
sensor device is triggered in Area C, but not if an object enters
area A / E.
Example 2: If S2 is set to zone 5, the camera turns ON when
anyone enters areas A and C, but not area E.
3) LED
After replacing the front cover or selecting a different setting,
the LED flashes for 1 min. before entering standby mode. The
LED flashes when the sensor device is triggered. After an
object is no longer tracked, the LED continues to flash for 10
sec., then enters standby mode.
4) TAMPER SWITCH
This function is designed to sense unauthorized tampering of
the camera and can be used in conjunction with conventional
motion detection systems. If the power is cut off or the cover is
removed, the tamper switch alarm triggers.
NOTE: Under normal working conditions, the NC LOOP is
connected. Otherwise, the contacts are disconnected.
Replacing the Front Cover
The installation, wiring, and configuration of settings has been
finished. Follow the instructions as given to replace the front
cover.
1. Align the bottom hook over the locking screw. Ensure the
hook slides into position over the locking screw.
2. Align the LED so it is visible through the LED opening in
the front cover.
3. Snap the front cover back in place.
4. Tighten the screw.
5. Adjust the camera angle.
NOTE: All steps above must be completed within 1 min. to prevent
trigger of the alarm. Failing to align the LED with the front cover can
result in breakage of the LED leads.

// TROUBLESHOOTING ...
1. Camera does not work: ensure all accessories are properly
set up; ensure function selector is set to the default setting
(function setting 3). Proceed to power on camera, ensure
video feed is functional and LED is flashing. After verifying
functions described above, proceed to set function selector
as desired.
2. If image is blurred: gently wipe the lens of the camera
using a suitable soft cloth.
3. Camera continued to scan from side to side without
tracking (at function setting 2): if power supply to camera
is interrupted, and then reconnected, camera will scan from
side to side for 1 min. before resuming standby mode. If not,
disconnect power supply, wait 10 sec. and then reconnect
power.
// OPTIONAL MOUNTING METHOD ...
The camera may be either mounted on a wall, ceiling, or a shelf
(see following illustrations). For mounting options other than the
specified instructions previously mentioned, optional bracket is
available for use.
CAUTIONS ...
1. Never point the camera toward the sun
Do not expose the lens directly to the sun or to strong light as
this may damage the pick-up device.
2. Handle this camera with care
Avoid any shock or bumping of the camera. Improper handling
could damage the camera.
3. Requires a proper operating environment
This camera is designed for indoor use. The allowable
temperature range for operation of this camera is between
-4°F ~ 122°F / -10°C ~ +50°C and the allowable humidity is
85%RH maximum.
4. Clean the front face or lens
It is recommended that the surface be cleaned every 3~6
months. Cleaning should be done by using a chamois, a very fine
soft cloth, lens tissue, or cotton tipped applicator and ethanol to
carefully remove any fingerprint or dust.
5. Check the power source voltage
The power source voltage should be within the specified range.
(Camera must meet the specifications). Camera must be
connected to a surge protector at all times.
6. Objects and liquid entry
Never push objects of any kind into this camera as this may
touch dangerous voltage points of short out parts that could
result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill any kind of liquid on
the video product.
7. Servicing
Do not attempt to service this video product by yourself as
opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous
voltage or other hazards. Refer all service to qualified servicing
personnel.
8. Damage requiring service
Unplug this video product from the wall outlet and refer service to
qualified servicing personnel under the following conditions:
a. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged.
b. If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the
video product.
c. If the video product has been exposed to rain or water.
d. If the video product has been dropped or the cabinet has
been damaged.
e. When the video product exhibits a distinct change in
performance.
// LIMITED WARRANTY ...
This product is covered under warranty for one year from the date
of purchase. The warranty will automatically be voided if any of the
following occurs:
1. Camera sticker is removed
If the camera sticker is removed, we will not be able to confirm
any information regarding when and where the product was
purchased. We have no other way to verify the purchase record
without the serial number on the camera sticker; therefore, it
should not be removed.
2. Camera is modified in any way
If the camera is scratched, damaged, or modified in a manner
not described in this manual, the warranty will be voided
immediately. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep the
camera in good condition.
3. Video or power cable is cut
The video cable and the power cable should not be tampered
with. Cutting or modifying of the cables will result in termination of
the warranty.
4. Water damage from the back side of the camera
There is no warranty for water damage from the back side of the
camera. The provided Blutac or silicone should be used for
prevention of water from entering into the camera on the back
side. It is recommended that the camera be installed under a
canopy.
