3 Overview
3.1 Overview
SoftPhone is a mobile intercom APP for Android smart phones, usually used with smart
Doorphone, Indoor and Phone. Based on SIP standard protocol, it can directly access PBX to
realize audio and video calls.

5 Installation
5.1 Downloads & Installation
SoftPhone can download the installation package from [Support] >> [Download Center] >> [Tools]
module on the Fanvil Website of Directions.Click the downloaded installation package to install it.
Note! Some cell phone systems will require user authentication. For example, Xiaomi
phones, just install it after correct authentication.

7 Basic Functions
7.1 Login
After download, open SoftPhone and enter the login page. As shown in Figure 2 below. Enter
the Username, Authentication User, Password, Domain and Port in turn, and then click [Submit] to
enter the main application interface of SoftPhone app. At this time, the successful registration
message will also be displayed on the page. See Appendix II - Status Icons for details of the
registration results.

7.2 Making a call
Dialing Methods
Users can dial a number in several ways:
Entering the number directly
Select contact number from contact list to dial (please refer to 7.8 Contacts)
Select contact number from call log to dial
Dial a number
Enter the Dialing page, click the icon to expand or collapse the dialpad. Enter the SIP number or
IP address you need to call in the dialpad, and then click the [Call] button on the dialpad to
call out.
Click on a certain call record to make a quick call out.
Note: When using IP dialing, "*" needs to be used instead of "." . For example: 172*16*7*55
means the calling ip address is: 172.16.7.55

Cancel Call
When calling a number, users can press the [Hang Up] button to cancel the call.

7.3 Incoming call preview
When adding contacts, if the video preview configuration has been enabled. When this contact is
calling, the app can preview the video screen of the incoming call in advance. See 7.8.1 Add
Contacts for details on adding contact settings.

7.4 Answer Calls
If there is an incoming call when the APP is in free state, users will see the following (first from left)
incoming call alert screen. If a video call is initiated from the other end, users will see the following
( right one ) incoming call remind screen.

Users can choose to press the green [Voice Answer] button to answer the call by voice,
and then enter 7.5.1 Voice Call after answering; if they choose to press the blue [Video Answer]
button to answer, and then enter 7.5.2 Video Call after answering. To reject the call, users
should press the red [Hang Up] button .
7.5 Talking
7.5.1 Voice Call
When the call builds, the user will see the following screen of the voice call, as shown below.

7.5.2 Video Call
When the incoming device contains a camera or the caller's counterpart is SoftPhone, a video call
will be established after answering the call, as shown in the following screen.

For voice calls or video calls, if the unlock was enabled when the contact was created and one
of the two unlocking methods (i.e. HTTP URL or DTMF method) was configured, the door can be
opened directly by clicking the open button when a call is made to the saved contact. See 7.8.1 Add
Contacts for details of contacts configuration.
7.6 End the Call
When users need to end the call, press the [Hang Up] button to end the current call.
7.7 Call Logs
The APP can save up to 500 call records, users can enter the call log page through the
navigation bar [Dial] to check all the call, outgoing and missed call records.
In the call log page, users can swipe up/down to see the call logs.
Each call record displays "Call type", "Caller number/name" and " Talk time".

Users can delete the selected call records by pressing the [Delete] button and checking the call
records that need to be deleted or selecting all.
7.8 Contacts
Users can add contact information on the contact page and can dial the number of that contact
directly from the saved contact list. Users can access the contacts page by pressing the navigation
key [Contact] under the default main interface.

The default contacts are empty and users need to manually add contacts to the contact list.
The existing records of the contacts will be sorted in alphabetical order. Users can navigate by
pressing the up/down navigation keys. The current record indicator tells the user exactly where the
contact is currently positioned.
Note! The user account of the device can store up to 1000 contacts information.
7.8.1 Add Contacts
To add a contact, users need to enter the contact screen first, select the Add icon , and then
add the following contact information. After editing the information, click [Save] to save it in the
contact list.
