Safety Notes
For your own safety
Before you
put the
automatic
cleaning
machine
into
operation,
be sure to read these operating
instructions and keep them
within easy reach.
The automatic cleaning machine
must only be used by persons
who have been instructed in its
handling and expressly entrusted
with its operation.
WARNING!
The automatic cleaning machine
is not suitable for the treatment
of surfaces which release
hazardous dusts and liquids.
Do not travel over steps.
CAUTION!
Do not travel over electric cables.
Danger of electric shock!
General information
The operation of automatic
cleaning machines is subject to
the current national
regulations.
In addition to the operating
instructions and the accident
prevention regulations applying
in the users country, the
recognised trade rules for
safety-conscious and proper
working are to be observed.
Any manner of working which
presents a safety danger is to
be refrained from. The use of
the automatic machine on public
paths and roads in not
permitted.
Safety notes for mains-
powered automatic machines
Please ensure that the mains
connection leads are not
damaged by squeezing,
tugging, chafing etc. The
mains connection leads must be
checked regularly for damage,
missing insulation, scorched
sections etc.
Always unplug the mains plug
before performing service and
maintenance work on the
machine and replacing
accessories!
For the replacement of
connecting leads, plugs,
couplings, fuses or sockets, the
technical data specified by the
manufacturer must be complied
with and/or original spare parts
must be used.
Safety notes for battery-
powered automatic machines
The safety and accident
prevention regulations for the
handling and/or fitting of
batteries must be observed.
Check to ensure that the
operating instructions and the
battery manufacturers handling
instructions have been supplied.
It is essential that these
instructions be complied with.
Before charging, check the
battery and charging cables and
replace if necessary. Smoking
is prohibited during battery
charging. Avoid naked flames,
flying sparks or the setting-up
of incandescent bodies.
Ventilate room well, as highly
explosive oxyhydrogen gas is
produced during battery
charging. All cavities, lids,
hoods etc. in which the
oxyhydrogen gas can accumulate
must be opened. Fire fighting
equipment must be easily
accessible. Eating and drinking is
prohibited in rooms in which
charging is carried out. Hands
are to be thoroughly washed
immediately after work on the
batteries. Do not touch or spill
battery acid. Do not lay metal
parts on the batteries, as
otherwise there is a danger of
short-circuiting and fire.

Use for the intended purpose
All automatic cleaning
machines are exclusively
intended for the wet cleaning of
water-resistant floor coverings in
building interiors.
Any use going beyond that is
deemed not to be in line with
the intended purpose. The
manufacturer does not accept
any liability for any resultant
damage; the risk in such cases
is borne by the user only.
Use for the intended purpose
also includes adherence to the
operating, servicing and
maintenance instructions
prescribed by the manufacturer.
The relevant accident
prevention regulations and
other generally recognised
safety and industrial health
rules are to be observed.
Changes made to the
automatic machines by the
users themselves rule out the
liability of the manufacturer for
any resultant damage.
Floor coverings are to be
checked with regard to the
suitability of this cleaning
method before the use of the
machine!
Note the surface pressure in
the case of point-elastic floors,
e.g. in gymnasiums!
The manufacturer accepts no
liability for damage to the
machine and the floor covering
to be cleaned which is caused by
the use of the wrong brushes
and cleaning agents.
Product liability
The users attention is expressly
drawn to the fact that the
automatic machines may be
used exclusively for the purpose
for which they are intended.
Should the machines not be
used for the intended purpose,
responsibility for this is to be
borne solely by the user. The
manufacturer is thus relieved of
all responsibility.
Hazards
When the machine is at a
standstill, the brush motor must
be switched off immediately so
that no damage to the floor
covering occurs.
Travel carefully over thresholds
and landings, as the wheels
and/or the suction lips can be
damaged. Ensure that the
brush unit and the suction
nozzle are raised.
For transporting in lifts, the
currently valid user notes and
safety regulations - especially
with regard to the carrying
capacity - are to be observed.
Workstation
The workstation is on the control
panel at the back of the
automatic machine.
Authorised maintenance
personnel
The automatic cleaning machine
may only be serviced and
repaired by persons having
specialist and statutory
authorisations.
