1. USE AND FUNCTION
The FN series dry air sterilizers/ovens are designed to sterilize, heat and dry samples in
laboratories. They offer excellent sterilization, drying and heating conditions.
They maintain temperatures between 70 °C and 250 °C and keep the temperature stable
within the given tolerances.
The FN series dry air sterilizers/ovens provide homogeneous temperature distribution by
means of the sheet heaters placed onto the outer surface of the useful volume.
The insulation of the dry air sterilizers/ovens not only provides economical working
conditions but also helps to achieve the excellent homogeneity.
The FN series dry air sterilizers/ovens provide precise operation conditions with the PID
microprocessor controlled thermostat and with the timer, they also ensure safe operation
conditions with the safety thermostat.
The FN series dry air sterilizer/ovens are manufactured according to the following
standards,
EN 61010-1, EN 60601-1, EN 60601-1-2, EN 1441, EN 980
Do not operate the instrument for purposes other than main purpose.
The instrument is only to be used by authorized people after the users manual has
been read carefully. Only technical personnel can handle the product in case of a
breakdown.

3. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
3.1. Lifting And Transport
Because of the heavy weight of the dry air sterilizer/oven, all lifting and transport must be
carried out using proper handling equipment. The dry air sterilizer/oven must be
supported from underneath and never be turned over.
3.2. Unpacking
Unpack the wooden packing.
Remove the nylon packing of the dry air sterilizer/oven and of the shelves.
Provided with the unit are below,
! Users Manual
! Electrical cables
! 2 pieces of shelves
3.3. Environmental Conditions
Please pay special attention to the followings,
! Indoor use only
! Temperature from 5°C to 40 ° C
! Humidity level % 80 up to 22° C
! Maximum height 2000 m.
3.4. Mains Supply
The dry air sterilizer/oven requires 230 V ± 10%, 50 Hz.
Please make sure that the supplied mains matches the required power ratings. If no,
provide an extra line to support.
Always connect the dry air sterilizer/oven to properly earthed sockets.
A supply fitted with a circuit breaker should be used for protection against short
circuit in case of an isolation fault.
3.5. Positioning
Check that no damage has occurred during transport.
Lift the dry air sterilizer/oven underneath and carry it to its place carefully.
Balance the dry air sterilizer/oven on the four pedestals. If necessary, provide stable
standing by adjusting the pedestal heights.
Place the shelf carriers and then the shelves.
8
Check the followings,
! the proposed site is suitable for users,
! the operator can follow up the unit even he deals with something else.
! the dry air sterilizer/oven does not occupy the utilisation space of others or damage
them.
3.6. Before Starting The Operation
Attention to the followings,
Do not heat the samples which can liquefy or expand during the operation in sealed
containers.
Determine of the boiling points of the samples and set the temperature accordingly.
Make sure that the samples do not overflow from their containers when heated.
Do not operate the dry air sterilizer/oven at the temperatures which do harm to the
samples or cause them to deform.
Make sure that the ventilation hole is open to discharge the gas or vapour which
occurs during the operation.
Make sure that the vapour occurred during the operation is not harmful to humans or
flammable or explosive.
IMPORTANT! The safety thermostat set value should always be higher than the working
temperature.
4. OPERATING THE STERILIZER
