How do I reset my Beoplay EX to factory

settings?

If you want to remove all paired Bluetooth devices or are experiencing issues while trying to

connect, you can reset Beoplay EX to factory settings as described below:

1. Remember to fully charge your Beoplay EX.

- Connect the USB-C cable to your charging case and to a charging adapter.

2. An orange flashing light indicates that they are charging.

3. The charging time is approximately 2 hours.

4. When the charging case is fully charged (100% battery), the indicator becomes solid green for

5 seconds.

Note: The maximum recommended charging adapter is 5V / 3A.

o Place both earphones in the charging case and close the case lid.

o Fully open the charging case lid*.

o Press and hold on the touch field on both the left and right earphone.

o After 6 seconds, Bluetooth pairing mode will be triggered (light indicator flashing

blue). Keep holding on the touch fields.

Factory reset will complete after 20 seconds (light indicator flashing red)

Note: Once the light indicator on the charging case has flashed red 5 times, it will turn off, and

the factory reset has completed.

Beoplay EX have now been reset and must be removed from the list of paired Bluetooth devices

on your mobile device before being added again.

*Be careful not to use force. Opening the lid more than 90 degrees may cause scratch marks on

the charging case.

Beoplay EX charging instructions

Charging the earphones

o Make sure that both earphones in the charging case. The light indicator will flash

orange to indicate that they are charging.

o When Beoplay EX are fully charged (100% battery), the light indicator becomes

solid green.

Note: 20 minutes of charge gives up to 2 hours of playtime. The light indicator on

the charging case will pulse orange when the earphones are charging.

Charging the case

o Connect the USB-C cable to your charging case and to a power adapter or place it

on a Qi-certified charging pad. The light indicator on the charging case will pulse

orange to indicate that they are charging.

o The charging time is approximately 2 hours.

o When the charging case is fully charged (100% battery), the light indicator

becomes solid green for 5 seconds.

Note: The maximum recommended charging adapter is 5V / 3A.

Beoplay EX call controls

The earphones should be worn properly to ensure that nothing covers the earphones. If not fitted

properly, it can impact the sound quality, the microphones and thereby also the ANC

performance. Moreover, if not fitted properly, due to the built-in wear sensor in the earphones,

the touch controls may be affected.

How to correctly fit your Beoplay EX

The intuitive touch field lets you answer calls by single

press on either right or left earphone, you can reject and

end a phone call simply by double tapping either left or

right earphone.

Answer a phone call

 Single press on the touch field on the right or left earphone to answer an incoming call.

End a phone call

 Double press on the touch field on either the right or left earphone to end an active phone

call.

Reject a phone call

 Double press on the touch field on either the right or left earphone to reject an incoming

phone call.

ANC / Own Voice

 Single press on the touch field on the left earphone to toggle between Own Voice - ANC

– Neutral.

Note:

If there is no audio in your Beoplay EX, e.g. if you answer the call directly on your phone, open

the sound mode (speaker selection) on your phone and select the setting that will transfer the call

to the Beoplay EX. Alternatively, you can change the ‘Call Audio Routing’ setting to ‘Bluetooth

Headset’ instead of ‘Automatic’ (applies to iPhone only).

Only phone calls and Facetime calls will be directed to the headset, not calls from VoIP services

such as Microsoft Teams.
