Theuegassystemconsistsofachimneyandauegastube.Theuegastubeconnectsthepelletheatingsystemto
thechimney.Thechimneyleadstheuegasfromthepelletheatingsystemoutintotheopen.

Thedimensionsanddesignofthechimneyisveryimportant.Thechimneymustbeabletoensuresufcientdraftto
safelydrawawaytheuegasregardlessofthestatusoftheboiler.Lowuegastemperaturescancausesooting
andmoisturedamageonchimneysthatarenotinsulated.Forthisreasonmoisture-resistantchimneys(stainless
steelorceramic)shouldbeused.Anexistingchimneythatisnotdamp-resistantneedstoberennovatedbefore

Theboilermustbeconnectedtoachimneyoraverticalventingsystemthatiscapableofhandlingandproducinga
negativebreechingpressureof–0.020“WC(-5Pa).Useadraftgaugetoverifytheindicateddraftvalue,adjust
barometricdamperasrequired.Drillasmallholeintheconnectionpipeatabout2”fromtheboilerueoutlet
andusethisholeasyourmeasuringpoint.
Chimneydraft
Thesuctioneffectofthechimneydraftmustextendasfarasthepelletboiler.Themaximum
owratethatcanbedrawnthroughthechimneylimitsthemaximumperformanceofthe
pelletboiler.Theboilerperformancemustbereducedifthechimneydoesnotpossessthe
necessarycross-section.Thismayonlybeperformendbyauthorisedpersonnel.
Toostrongachimneydraftincreasesheatlosswhile
idlingandreducestheefciencyoftheheatingsystem.
Werecommendinstallingachimneydraftregulator
(barometricdamper).Chimneydraftregulatorsareinstalled
directlyintotheuegastubeorchimney.

7.1Transport
MEcosuppliesthepelletboileronapallet.Thepelletboilerisreadytobeconnectedup.
Thecontrolunitfortheboilercontrollerandtheoperatingdrviceisintegratedintothecontrolpanel.
Theashboxandtheoptionalexternalashboxwithde-ashingsystemandtheuetubeconnectionsaresuppliedin
separatepackages.Theseneedtobeinstalledon-site.
Ifitisnotpossibletobringtheboilerintothebuildingatgroundlevel,thenyoucanremovethecasing,theburner,the
hopperandtheboilercontroller.Thiswillreducetheweightoftheunitandmakeiteasiertocarry.
Contaminationandcorrosion
Makesurethatthepelletboilerislocatedunderaroofifit
needstobestoredoutsidebeforeitistransported/brought
intothebuilding.
