speaker system with docking.
We recommend that you spend some time reading this instruction manual in order
that you fully understand all the operational features oered. You will also nd
some hints and tips to help you resolve any issues.
Read all the safety instructions carefully before use and keep this instruction
manual for future reference.

Remove all packaging from the unit. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it please do so

Removing the Insulating Strips from the Remote Control
Remove the insulating mylar strip from the battery if the
battery is being used for the rst time. It is located at the
bottom rear side of the remote control.
2. Pull out the battery holder and remove the old battery.
Battery Replacement for the Remote Control
The remote control requires a CR2025, 3V Lithium battery.
1. Slide and hold the battery release tab in the direction of
the arrow.
3. Replace with a new one battery.
4. Insert the battery holder back into the remote control.
Handling the Battery
• Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which
could cause re, personal injury or damage to property.
• Install the battery correctly in the battery compartment. Normally the batterys positive
polarity (+) will face up.
• When the battery is exhausted, the remote control will not function.
• Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.
• Do not dispose of the used battery as domestic waste. Dispose of it in accordance with
local regulations.
• Small button cell batteries such as the one used in the remote control are easily
swallowed by young children and this is dangerous. Keep loose button cells away from
young children and make sure that the battery is secure in the remote control. Seek
medical advice if you believe a battery cell has been swallowed.

Remote Control Operation Range
• The remote control sensor on the front unit is
sensitive to the remote control’s commands up
to a maximum of 5 metres away and within a
maximum of a 60° arc.
• Please note that the operating distance may vary
depending on the brightness of the room.
Handling the Remote Control
• Be aware of your ngernails when removing the battery cover and the battery.
• Do not drop the remote control.
• Do not allow anything to impact the remote control.
• Do not spill water or liquid on the remote control.
• Do not place the remote control on a wet object.
• Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight or near sources of excessive heat.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period of time,
as corrosion or battery leakage may occur and result in physical injury, and/or property
damage, and/or re.

connector nuts at the back of
the speakers.
2. Insert the black/white wire of
the connection wire into the
black connector. Tighten the
connector nut.
3. Insert the white wire into the
red connector. Tighten the
connector nut.

Connecting to the Mains Supply
Mains Power
• This unit is designed to operate with a DC 18V/1.5A
mains adapter (included).
• Unwind the mains cable to its full length. Connect
the other end of the mains cable to the DC IN
Socket at the rear of the unit then connect the
mains adapter to the mains socket. Make sure the
mains adapter is rmly inserted into the mains
socket. The unit is now connected and ready
to use. A red light can be seen under the front
speaker grill once connected.
• To switch the unit o completely, remove the
mains adapter from the mains socket.
Ensure all connections are connected before connecting to the mains
power socket.

• If the unit is idle more than 4 hours, the unit will switch o.
• While idling, the power indicator will ash 10 minutes before it turn o. Press
any buttons to extend the time.

General Operation
Switching ON / OFF
• When you rst connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in STANDBY mode.
• Press the STANDBY
button on the remote control to turn on the unit. The power
indicator will light up green (iPod/Bluetooth mode) or orange (AUX mode).
• Press the STANDBY
button on the remote control to switch the unit to STANDBY
mode. The power indicator will go dark.
• If the unit is idle for more than 4 hours, the unit will switch o.
• While idling, the power indicator will ash for 10 minutes before it turn o.
Press any buttons to extend the time.
Selecting Modes
While in STANDBY or ON modes,
• Press the DOCK button to select to iPod/Bluetooth mode. The power indicator will light
up green.
• Press the AUX button to select to AUX mode. The power indicator will light up orange.
Adjusting the Volume
• Press the VOL +/– buttons on the remote control to adjust the volume.
• Press the MUTE
button on the remote control to turn the sound o. The power
indicator will ash and audio output will be temporarily terminated. Press the MUTE
button again to resume audio listening.
Adjusting the Sound Eect
Press the POP, JAZZ, ROCK, CLASSIC or FLAT buttons to select a desired music mode.

This unit can support iPod, iPhone, iPhone 3G/3GS/4 and various models of iPod players

Inserting the iPod / iPhone
1. Press the DOCK button to select iPod/Bluetooth mode. Carefully insert your iPod /
iPhone into the iPod / iPhone dock.
2. If the iPod / iPhone is connected, the unit will start playback (it will take around 5
seconds for the unit to identify the iPod / iPhone). The iPod / iPhone battery will be
charged automatically until it is fully charged.
3. Select your desired music and play the connected iPod / iPhone as usual.
4. Press the
/ PAIR button on the remote control to start / pause / resume playback.
5. Press the
button on the remote control to the beginning of the current track or the
previous track.
6. Press the
button on the remote control to select the next track.
7. Press the MENU button on the remote control to navigate between dierent iPod /
iPhone menus. Press the
buttons on the remote control to select the desired iPod
/ iPhone option and then press the ENTER button on the remote control to conrm
the selection.
• To control menu operation of iPad series, iPhone series, iPod touch series and iPod nano 6

generation, you need to enter the music menu on your iPod / iPhone rst.
• This manual provides the basic instructions of menu navigation on iPod / iPhone. For advance
operations, please refer to instruction accompanied with your iPod / iPhone.
• The unit cannot show any music information of your iPod/iPhone. Please view the music information
from your iPod / iPhone display.
• To avoid damaging your iPod / iPhone or the unit, please take care when inserting and removing your
iPod / iPhone from the dock.
To Play / Pause Playback
• Press the / PAIR button on the remote control to pause playback, the time elapsed
indicator will ash.
• To resume playback, press the
/ PAIR button on the remote control again.
Skipping to Another Track
• Press the buttons on the remote control to skip backwards to the previous track or
skip forwards to the next track.

Random Playback
All the tracks on the disc can be played in a random order.
• During playback, press the
button on the remote control.
• Press the
buttons on the remote control to play the next random track.
• After all the tracks have been played once, the playback will stop automatically.
• To cancel the random playback, press the
button on the remote control during
RANDOM playback. Normal playback will resume.
Repeat Playback
• Press the button once on the remote control. The unit will play the current track
repeatedly.
• Press the
button twice. The unit will play all tracks repeatedly.
• Press the
button once more again. The REPEAT function will turn o.
Charging your iPod / iPhone
• Your iPod / iPhone has an internal non-removable battery, the battery may need to be
charged if it has not been used for a while.
• You can automatically charge the iPod / iPhone through the unit when it is docked.
Video Out Function
When any iPod / iPhone model with video playback function is plugged into the unit,
videos / photos can be viewed on another display screen.
1. Connect a TV or display using the video out socket via video connection cable (not
included).
2. Choose the video / photo le you would like to play and the iPod / iPhone will
automatically play the le on the desired video display.
• If you charge the iPod / iPhone while playing music, it may take a longer time.
• In any time, you can control the iPod / iPhone player on the unit or iPod / iPhone player itself directly.

• Charging function will only work with mains adapter connected.
• The iPod / iPhone can be charged with this unit in either ON or Standby mode.

If the signal strength is weak, your bluetooth receiver may disconnect, but it will re-enter pairing mode
automatically.
AUX IN operation
1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use a 3.5mm AUX IN cable (not included) to
connect your audio device through the AUX IN socket at the rear of the unit.
2. Connect the mains adapter to the unit and then the mains socket.
3. Press the AUX button to select AUX mode. The power indicator will light up orange.
Bluetooth Audio
The unit has a bluetooth function that can receive a signal within 10 metres
Pairing the unit with a bluetooth device to listen to music:
1. Press the DOCK button on the remote control to select iPod/Bluetooth mode.
2. Press and hold the
/ PAIR button on the remote control until you hear a “beep”
sound twice. Power indicator will ash blue. The system has entered into pairing mode
and becomes discoverable.
3. Activate your bluetooth device and select the search mode.
4. “SBTD3012” will appear on your bluetooth device.
5. Select “SBTD3012” and enter “0000” for the password if necessary.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
Ensure the unit is fully unplugged from the mains socket before cleaning.
• To clean the unit, wipe the case with a slightly moist, lint-free cloth.
• Do not use any cleaning uids containing alcohol, ammonia or abrasives.
• Do not spray an aerosol at or near the unit.
Hints and Tips
If a problem does occur, it may often be due to something very minor. The following table
contains various tips.

• Make sure mains adapter is connected to the mains socket and
the unit properly and that it has power.
• Check that the remote control has a battery. The battery may
need to be replaced.

• Make sure the iPod/iPhone is connected properly.
• Standby mode may be activated; press the STANDBY

Damage
• Please inspect the unit for damage after
unpacking.

are in any doubt about it working normally,
or if it is damaged in any way - switch o,
withdraw the mains adapter and consult
your dealer.
Location of Unit
• The unit must be placed on a at stable
surface and should not be subjected to
vibrations.
• Do not place the unit on sloped or unstable
surfaces as the unit may fall o or tip over.
• The mains socket must be located near the
unit and should be easily accessible.
• This unit is designed for indoor use only.
Temperature
• Avoid extreme degrees of temperature,
either hot or cold. Place the unit well away
from heat sources such as radiators or gas/
electric res.
• Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and other
sources of heat.
Naked Flames
• Never place any type of candle or naked
ame on the top of or near the unit.
Moisture
• To reduce the risk of re, electric shock or
product damage, do not expose this unit
to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing. No
objects lled with liquids, such as vases,
should be placed on the unit.
• If you spill any liquid into the unit, it can
cause serious damage. Switch it o at the
mains immediately. Withdraw the mains
adapter and consult your dealer.
Ventilation
• To prevent the risk of electric shock or
re hazard due to overheating, ensure
that curtains and other materials do not
obstruct the ventilation vents.
• Do not install or place this unit in a
bookcase, built-in cabinet or in another
conned space. Ensure the unit is well
ventilated.

electricity from the mains supply when
plugged in the mains socket. In the
interests of safety and to avoid unnecessary
energy consumption, never leave the
adapter plugged in the mains socket
while unattended for long periods of time.

• Do not place the unit on or near appliances
which may cause electromagnetic
interference. If you do, it may adversely
aect the operating performance of the
unit, and cause a distorted picture or sound.

following the guidance in this manual.
Supervision
• Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the unit and the
remote control.
• Never let anyone especially children push
anything into the holes, slots or any other
openings in the case - this could result in a
fatal electric shock.
