INTRODUCTION
GOLDMUND METIS TOWER WIRELESS – Active Speaker

and image.

1 PRELIMINARIES
The Goldmund Metis Tower Active Wireless uses some very innovative technology to achieve a level
of definition and neutrality never found before in a speaker system.
Please read very carefully the following instructions. These high-precision speakers are extremely
revealing and can provide the best sound only if they are used properly.
2 UNPACKING
The Metis Tower Active Wireless require more than one person to unbox. The speakers are fragile so
a lot of care is needed while handling.
Open the box and remove the speakers. Unpack the speakers close to the location where they will be
standing.
You will find in the Metis Tower speaker box:
- The speakers
- The USB dongle
- The power cords
- This manual
ATTENTION
If you need to return the speakers to the factory or to your local representative for a warranty repair,
please note that they must be repacked in their original packing. This packaging has been designed
specifically to protect the Metis Tower Active speakers in transit. Use of alternative packaging is likely
to result in damage, invalidating warranty cover.

3 SELECTING THE SPEAKER LOCATION
To achieve optimal performance, please observe the following points:
• The Metis Tower Active Speakers and the USB dongle should be placed in the same room.
• There should be no metallic obstacles between the USB dongle and the Metis Tower Active
Speakers, which could influence the wireless link.
• The computer with the USB dongle should not be moved around during playback.
Wireless audio link range:
The range of the wireless audio link depends on several factors, such as the amount of WiFi
equipment used in proximity of the Metis Tower Active Speaker system, as well as the building
materials and the architecture of the room.
Depending on the above mentioned factors, the maximum range will normally be from 5 to 20 meters.
4 CONNECTING THE METIS TOWER
To use the Metis Tower follow these steps:
• Position the left and right speakers according to the serial number labels indicating the
channel located on the back side of each speaker. The speaker with the label L should be on
the left and the one with the label R on the right.
• Screw the antenna on the back side of each speaker.
• Connect the speakers to a mains outlet using the power cords contained in the box.
• Connect the USB dongle to a USB port on your computer.
• In your computer’s audio settings, select the USB dongle as the audio output.
The system is now set up and ready to be used. The volume is set directly on the computer.
ATTENTION
Due to the high gain of the Metis
Tower Wireless speaker, please make
sure that the media player is set to a
low output level, before connecting the
dongle to the computer.

4 CONNECTING THE METIS TOWER (Ctd.)
The Metis Tower and the associated USB Goldmund dongle are delivered prepaired from the factory.
This means that your speakers can only function with the dongle that was paired with it. However, if
you would like to do a re-pairing of the speaker with the dongle for any reason, please follow these
steps:
- Connect the USB dongle to your computer or the Wireless Transmitter to your acoustic
processor.
- Insert a small screwdriver into the pairing hole located on the back panel of your speaker, just
below the input locking led.
- Gently press the internal pairing button using the screwdriver.
- As soon as the pairing is done, the led locking led will light up.
- The pairing is done.

In case you lose your dongle, you can order another one from your distributor who will also pair it to
your speakers.
5 RUNNING-IN
The Metis Tower need many days playing music before providing the top sonic quality they are built
to provide. The few first hours can be somehow frustrating for a demanding listener.
Do not hesitate to let them play quite loud for some time before attempting any real system tuning or
position adjustment.
6 CLEANING
To clean the metal case of the speaker, you can use a wet cloth. Always use a very soft cloth to avoid
scratching the surface. The Goldmund plate on the top panel is gold plated. Simply clean it with a soft
cloth, without any chemical solution.
