IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, the following basic precautions should always be followed:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Before using the Espresso Coee Maker, please check that the mains voltage of the wall outlet
corresponds to the one shown on the appliance’s nameplate.
3. is appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the mains socket in
your house is well earthed.
4. To protect against re, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug in water
or other liquid.
5. Remove plug from socket before cleaning and when not in use. Allow appliance to cool down
completely before moving it or attaching components or before cleaning.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or aer the appliance malfunctions,
or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized
service center for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. Do not use any accessory/attachments that are not recommended by Prestige which may result
in re, electric shock or injury to persons.
8. Place the appliance on the at surface. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of table or
counter or touch hot surface.
9. Do not use the Espresso Coee Maker in the environment of high temperature, high magnetic

12. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet. Always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.
13. Do not use the appliance for uses other than the intended use.
14. Close supervision is required when you operate the appliance. Do not leave the appliance on
the standby state for a long time.
15. Some parts of appliance are hot when operated (such as glass carae, detachable drip tray, top
cover, steam tube and froth nozzle and so on). Do not touch them directly with hand. Use
either the handle or knob.
16. Regular Cleaning and maintenance of the Espresso Coee Maker as instructed under the
section “Cleaning and maintenance” to ensure the quality of coee and the durability of the
appliance.
17. If you are not using the appliance for a long time, clean all the detachable components, and dry
them for storage.
18. Do not open the tank cover or the lter while making coee or hot water.
19. When there are indications of trouble with the operation of the appliance, do not operate the
appliance. Contact the service centre immediately.
20. Never use the detergent or hot water for cleaning the brewing component.

OPERATING YOUR PRESTIGE ESPRESSO COFFEE MAKER
Before using your Espresso Coee Percolator: It is recommended that the Espresso Coee Maker
should be operated following the below instructions without coee powder and water discarded o
before the rst use. is will remove any dust material present in the appliance.
1. Pour water into the water tank. Ensure that the water level in the water tank does not exceed
the 'MAX' level and less than the 'MIN' level indicated on the water tank. Place the lid on the
water tank.
Note: e appliance is provided with a detachable water tank for easy cleaning. You can ll
the tank with water rst and then place the water tank on the appliance.
2. Place the steel lter in the funnel. Do not add any coee powder to the funnel.
3. Place a carae or a jug on the detachable drip tray. Make sure the steam control knob is in
'OFF' position.
Note: e coee maker is not provided with carae. Please use your own carae or jug of
appropriate size
4. Connect the coee maker to the power source. Pres the 'ON/OFF' switch to 'ON' position. e
'ON' lamp will illuminate.
5. Press the pump control switch to "
" position. e pump will start pumping water from the
water tank and the water will start owing out of the funnel.
6. Switch o the pump by switching it to "
"position.

7. Now, press the coee/steam selector to " " position. e switch will illuminate indicating the
appliance is preheating the water.
8. Once the preheating is over, the appliance will automatically switch o. e indicator light will
stop glowing.
9. Press the pump control switch to '
' position. Water will start owing out of the funnel.
10. Once the water stops coming out of the funnel, you can pour out the water from the tank and
clean them.
Now you can start using the coee maker.
Note: ere may be some noise while begining to use the appliance for the rst time. is is
normal. is is due to the pump releasing the air in the appliance. e noise will disappear in
about 30 seconds.

PRE-HEATING THE COFFEE MAKER
It is advisable to pre-heat the coee maker before brewing coee including the funnel, steel lter and
the cup so that you get coee with good aroma and avour.
1. Remove the water tank lid and ll with water. Do not exceed the "MAX" level and less than
'MIN' level indicated on the water tank.
2. Set the steel lter into the metal lter. Make sure that the tube on the funnel aligns with the
groove in the appliance. Insert the funnel into its position from the "INSERT" position and you
can x the funnel into coee maker rmly when you turn it anti-clockwise until it is locked in
the “LOCK” position.
3. Place a container or cup on the detachable drip tray.
5. Press the "ON/OFF" switch to "ON" position. e "ON" indicator will glow

MAKE ESPRESSO COFFEE
1. Remove the water tank lid by liing it up. Pour water in the water tank. en, close the lid.
Note: While pouring water into the water tank, do not exceed the "MAX"level and less than 'MIN'
level indicated on the water tank.
2. Place the steel lter into the funnel and add coee powder to steel lter with measuring scoop,
one scoop of coee powder can make about a cup of lter coee. Press the coee powder well
inside the lter using the at side of the scoop.
3. Insert the funnel into its position from the “INSERT” position, and you can x the funnel into
coee maker rmly when you turn it anti-clockwise until it is locked in the “LOCK” position.
4. Place a jug or cup on the detachable drip tray.
5. Plug the power cord into the socket. Press the "ON/OFF" switch to "ON" position. e "ON"
indicator will glow.
6. Pres the coee/steam switch to "
" position.
7. Turn the pump control switch to "
" position. Ensure the indicator is illuminated. Wait for
about 2 minutes for the coee to ow out.
8. Aer the desired quantity of coee has been obtained, turn the pump control switch to "
"
position. e indicator will go o and the coee maker will stop working. Your coee is ready
now.
9. Remove the jug or cup and turn the steam control knob to coee/steam selector switch to '

position.

10. Turn steam control knob to its rst position to release the residual steam in the tank
WARNING: Do not leave the coee maker unattended while the appliance is under operation.
11. Once the Espresso Coee Maker is allowed to cool, the funnel can be removed by turning it
in turn clockwise direction. Remove the coee residue out of the steel lter with the help of
the lter holder. en rinse the steel lter under running water. Ensure that the lter holder is
moved back to its original position before replacing the steel lter into the funnel.

FROTHING MILK/ MAKE CAPPUCCINO
1. Prepare espresso as described above.
2. Fill a jug with desired amount of cold milk. Choose a jug big enough as the volume of the milk
will increase once frothing is done. Ensure that the diameter of the jug is not less than 70 mm.
Do not use hot milk or skimmed milk.
3. Turn the coee/steam switch to "
" position. e indicator will light up.
Note: During the operation, the indicator light will switch on and o. is is to maintain the
correct temperature for steam generation.
4. Insert the frothing device into the milk for about 2 cm.
5. Turn the steam control knob slowly. Steam will start ejecting from the frothing device. Froth
the milk in the jug by moving the jug up and down.
5. When the required amount of frothing has been reached, turn the steam control knob to "0"
position to stop frothing. Clean the steam outlet with wet sponge immediately.
6. Pour the frothed milk into the espresso prepared. Add sugar or sweetener to taste and if
desired, sprinkle the froth with a little cocoa powder. Your cappuccino is ready.
7. Allow the appliance to cool down before repeating the process.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Remove the plug from mains socket and let the appliance completely cool down before
cleaning.
2. Do not immerse the Espresso Coee Maker or power cord in water.
3. Clean the body of Espresso Coee Maker with a damp cloth. Do not clean with alcohol or
solvent cleanser.
3. Detach the funnel by turning it clockwise, get rid of coee residue inside and clean it with mild
detergent. Rinse thoroughly in running water to get rid of the detergent.
4. Clean all the detachable attachments in the water and dry thoroughly.
5. Periodical descaling is needed. e interval of descaling depends on the hardness of water and
the frequency of usage of your Espresso Coee Maker
6. Do not attempt to dismantle the Espresso Coee Maker. For any problem, contact the
authorized service centre for any service/repair.

CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS - DESCALING
1. To ensure the operational eciency, avor of coee and the cleanliness of the internal parts of
the appliance, regular descaling is required with a frequency of once in 2-3 months.
2. Fill the water tank with water and descaler to the MAX level (at a water to descaler ratio of 4:1).
Use “household descaler” only.
3. Place the funnel in its position without coee powder. Place a jug or cup on the detachable tray.
4. Press "ON/OFF' switch to "ON" position.
5. Press pump control switch to "
" position.
6. Press Coee/Steam switch to "
" position.
7. Once the water starts owing out, press the pump control switch to "
"position.
8. Wait for few moments. e water in the coee maker heats up. Once the heating is over, the
indicator light in the pump control switch illuminates.
9. Press the pump control switch to "
" position. Hot water will start owing out. Allow about
two cups of water to ow out.
10. Turn the pump contro switch to "
". e indicator light in the pump control switch will
go o. Wait till the indicator light glows again.
11. Press the Coee/Steam switch to "
" position. Rotate the steam control knob gently to last
position. Steam will come out from steam ejector nozzle.
12. Make steam for about 2 minutes.
13. Repeat this process for 2 to times. to make sure that the steam eject nozzle is clean.
14. Repeat all the above cleaning processes with clean water once or twice

TROUBLE SHOOTING

TERMS OF WARRANTY
Prestige (hereinaer referred to as the Company) warrants to the purchaser of “Prestige Espresso
Coee Maker”, (hereinaer referred to as Espresso Coee Maker) that the said electric rice cooker
is free from all defects in material and workmanship.
is warranty is valid for a period of one year from the date of original purchase, subject to the
following terms and conditions:-
1) e warranty card is to be completed, signed by the dealer immediately on purchase.
2) e Espresso Coee Maker is only to be serviced by the Company Regional Service Centre or
by its Authorised Service Centre (addresses listed in this manual).
3) e customer shall carry the Espresso Coee Maker to the nearest Company Regional Service
Centre/Authorised Service Centre at his/her own cost and risk.
4) e Company shall make all endeavours/attempts to carry out the Service/Replacement under
this Warranty at the earliest, but shall not be liable to do so within any specied time.
5) e Warranty will continue and remain in force only for the unexpired period of the original
Warranty, in regard to the Repair/Replacement of parts of the Espresso Coee Maker.
6) e Espresso Coee Maker shall be used strictly for domestic purposes in accordance with the
user’s manual.
7) e Company shall not be held liable for any accident, loss or damage (direct or indirect) to
person or property caused by reason of:
a) Repairs/Service attended by unauthorised service person.
b) Over-loading/Misuse/abuse or/and negligence on the part of the user.

c) Defects caused by improper/reckless use.
d) Use of spurious spares/old, non-genuine spares.
e) Failure to comply with any safety precaution or maintenance tip suggested by the Company.
f) Original serial number is deleted/defaced or altered.
8) e Company shall not be responsible for any special consequential damages or loss arising
directly or indirectly for any delay in the performance of this Warranty.
9) e Company reserves the right to retain any part or component at the Regional Service
Centre/branches or Authorised Service Centre or at its workshop and shall eect Repairs/
Replacement or parts or components at its sole discretion.
10) is Warranty shall not in any case extend towards payment or any monetary consideration
whatsoever, and shall be only limited to the product replacement.
11) Electrical parts are not covered under the warranty terms as they are subject to wear and tear.
Replacement of these parts is chargeable.
12) Electrical appliances, wire points need regular check up by an authorised service person.
13) Electrical appliances are prone to voltage uctuation risks, therefore precaution should be
taken before use. Company shall not be responsible for any damage to electrical parts, arising
out of this problem.
14) For repairs aer the expiry of the warranty period, the authorised service centre will levy a
charge (based on the MRP) for the component replaced.
15) e decision of the company is nal in all cases of complaints.
16) Any complaints/disputes shall be within the jurisdiction of the Courts of Bangalore
