ENPHASE QUICKSTART GUIDE
1 REGISTER
Installers: Begin the activation process
• Log in to: enlighten.enphaseenergy.com/register and complete the form.
• First-time installers: Go to enlighten.enphaseenergy.com/register and complete
the form. Your login credentials will be sent to you.
• Self-installers: Click on the “Self-installed” checkbox.
• Existing installers: Log into Enlighten, click “Activations” and then “Add New System”
(If you are not sure your company is registered, contact Enphase support to find out)

2 INSTALL
Install the PV modules and microinverters
Consult the microinverter installation guide for more details.
3 CONNECT
Install the Envoy Communications Gateway
• Connect to a broadband router and plug into a dedicated wall outlet.
• Wait 15 minutes to allow the Envoy to scan all the microinverters in your array.
• Ensure at least 2 level bars and the correct number of microinverters are showing
(see overleaf for troubleshooting).

4 ASSIGN
Use the Array Builder to generate the array
Once all microinverters have been detected, log in to Enlighten to
use the Enlighten Array Builder.

If… Then…
Reboot the Envoy (i.e. turn it off and then
on again) and wait for at least 15 minutes.
You have zero or one bars for level
Relocate the Envoy to the power outlet closest
to the load center (and contact Enphase to
receive a free pair of Ethernet bridges within
3 business days to connect the Envoy back to
the internet router).

TROUBLESHOOTING
ENVIRON SMART THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION
If you have purchased the Enphase Environ Smart
Thermostat, please follow the additional instructions below
after the solar installation is completed and the Envoy
Communications Gateway is installed:

STEPS
1 Power off the HVAC system.
2 Remove existing thermostat off the wall.
3 Connect the correct HVAC wires to Environ, then mount the Environ to wall.
4 Plug the Zigbee (wireless) USB stick into Envoy, confirm the Envoy's detection of
the Environ smart thermostat.
5 Log in to Enlighten to program the Environ with the desired heating/cooling settings.
