Quick Instruction:
1. Placetheheadsetoverthehead.Theheadbandshouldbeontopofheadandspeaker cushionshouldbeoverthe
ear(s).
2. Adjust the length of the headband to fit your head and turn the earpieces slightly until the headset fits
comfortably.Foroneearpiecemodels,positiontheT
‐baraboveyourear.
3. Connecttheheadset directlytothe headset portonthebackofthetelephone.(Thisheadsetisnotcompatible
with3
rd
partyadapters)
4. Findyourtelephone’sbrandunderthegearguideto selectgear1,2or3.
5. Press the headset button on your telephone to make a test call; if the microphone doesn’t work nor has poor
soundquality,tryadifferent gear.
Thisswitchiscrucialforheadsetfunctionality;itcontrols speakerandmicro pho ne’svoicequality.Choosingthe
correctgearoptimizesyourheadset’sperformance.
GEAR1:Thisgearworksformostbrandsofphones;includingbutnotlimitedtoAllworx,Avayamodels(except
1600&9600series),Mitel,Nortel,ShoreTel,FortiFone,Polycom,NECandUnifyoptiPoint.
GEAR 2: This gear works for Avaya 1600 & 9600 series. Also is compatible but not limited to
Digium,
Grandstream,PanasonicHDVseries,YealinkandZultysphones.
GEAR3:ThisgeariscompatiblewithCiscophonesthatrequireanRJ9headsetconnection,PanasonicUTGseries
andAvayaLucentCallmaster.
Optional 2.5mm Pigtail av ailable: If yourtelephone needs a 2.5mm connection please connect headsetto the
PigtailadapterandselectGear1.Thisadaptercanbepurchasedalongwiththeheadset(modelVB‐MCHCR25)
