The& Temperature& sensor& ML45m& measures& temperatures& in& the& calibrated& range&&&&&&&&&&
@225& ..& 1225& °C& (@373& ..& 2237& °F).& Th e& sensor& uses& a& thermocoup le& type& K.& The&
thermocouple& consists& of& Chromel (nickel@chromium& (+))& and& Alumel (nickel@

The&thermocouple&wire&is&double&insulated&with&gla ss& b raid& an d&the& thermocoup le&tip&
is& exposed.& The& wire& is& about& 65& cm& long.& For& long& measurements,& the& maximum&
temperature& is& lim ited & to& 870°C.& The& insulation& is& d am ag ed & when& working& above&
482°C,& but& this& does& not& normally& detrimentally& influen ce & the& operatio n& of& the&
thermocouple.& The& thermocouple& may&be& d am ag ed & if& it& is& used& in& the& presence& of&
sulphur,&or&under&reducing&conditions.&
The&Temperature&sensor&is&an&I2C&digital&sensor,&w h ich &gives&calibrated&values&of&the&

Sensor(specifications(
The& Temperature& sensor& ML45m& is& a& digital& sensor& that& converts& the& measured&
temperature& value& to& a& digital& value& via& 16@bit& analog@to@digital& conversion.& The&
resolution&of&the&sensor&is &typical& 0.0 2&°C.&The&maximal&sampling& rate&of&the& sensor&is&
15&Hz.&&
