Introduction
This document is a supplement to the PATHOGON UV Disinfection System
Operator Manual (10073180). This document provides instructions to add
and remove users, change users’ parameters and access lamp hour data.
Read and understand the Operator Manual (10073180) before
attempting to use the PATHOGON UV Disinfection System.
NOTE: This manual is only intended for individuals who are to receive
supervisory status.
Perform the following steps and acknowledge the on-screen prompts. At
any time, press GO TO THE MAIN SCREEN button to leave the
Maintenance Screen or press EXIT button to leave Security Administration
screen.
NOTE: The unit is delivered with two default logins – Operator and
Supervisor. The logins are as follows: User Name: operator and Password:
operator and User Name: supervisor and Password: supervisor. The
default operator login is listed in the PATHOGON UV Disinfection System
Operator Manual (10073180), so anyone can log in to the unit using the
User Name: operator, unless the login is disabled, deleted or the password
is changed. Likewise, anyone with access to this supplement can log in to
the unit using the User Name: supervisor, unless the login is disabled,
deleted or the password is changed.

WARNING - HIGH VOLTAGE
HAZARD: This unit uses
high voltage. Proper
electrical connections are
required. Use only in dry
areas.
WARNING – FIRE HAZARD:
DO NOT operate this unit in
an area containing
combustible materials.
WARNING – PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD:
Ultraviolet lamps emit radiation that is harmful to the eyes
and skin. No personnel are to be exposed to direct or
reflected radiation. DO NOT enter room while cycle is in
process!
Exit the room that will receive the Ultraviolet-C (UVC)
treatment. Ensure all personnel have exited the treatment
area and all other sensitive material has been removed.
Properly label the room for treatment with warning signs
in accordance with the facility’s safety regulations.

Create a New User Add a User:
1. Go to Main Screen.
2. Press LOGIN/LOGOUT button.
3. Log in with supervisor username and password, or log in as a user
assigned to the supervisor group.
4. Press GO TO MAINT SCREEN button.
5. On MAINTENANCE SCREEN, press ADD/REMOVE USERS button.
6. Press white cell underneath grey New User Name cell.
7. Using controller’s keyboard, type new user’s username.
8. Press CREATE User button.
9. Acknowledge prompt by pressing OK button.
Assign a User’s Group:
1. Select user by pressing user’s name in the large, white window. User’s
name, group and account are highlighted grey, and selected user
name appears in the cell in the upper right corner.
2. Select user’s group by pressing OPERATOR or SUPERVISOR in Group
cell.
NOTE: Operators are only able to access the operational functions of the
controller. Supervisors have access to all the rights included in this
supplement, including the ability to create, delete and change parameters of
other users.
3. Assign user to a group by pressing ASSIGN Group button. The user’s
assigned group updates in the large, white window.
To set a user’s password:
The user creates his/her password the first time he/she attempts to log
in. The initial password for the user is the system default,
“password123”.
Change a User’s
Parameters
To change a user’s group:
1. Select user by pressing user’s name in the large, white window. User’s
name, group and account are highlighted grey, and selected user
name appears in the cell in the upper right corner.
2. Press UNASSIGN Group button. User’s assigned group now reads
“No Group Assigned” in the Assigned Group column.
3. To assign user a new status, see Assign a User’s Group under
Create a New User.
To reset a user’s password:
1. Select user by pressing user’s name in the large, white window. User’s
name, group and account are highlighted grey, and the selected user
name appears in the cell in the upper right corner.
2. Press RESET Password button.
3. Press OK in prompt window to confirm password reset.
4. User creates his/her new password the next time he/she attempts to
log in. Password for that user is reset to the system default,
“password123”.

To disable a user:
1. Select user by pressing user’s name in the large, white window. User’s
name, group and account are highlighted grey, and selected user
name appears in the cell in the upper right corner.
2. Press DISABLE Account button. User is disabled and now reads
“Disabled” in Account column. User is now unable to log in to unit until
his/her account has been reactivated.
To delete a user:
1. Select user by pressing user’s name in the large, white window. User’s
name, group and account are highlighted grey, and selected user
name appears in the cell in the upper right corner.
2. Press DELETE User button. This user’s account is permanently
deleted.
NOTE: It may take between one to two minutes for the unit to update and
permanently delete the user.
To activate a user:
1. Select user by pressing user’s name in the large, white window. User’s
name, group and account are highlighted grey, and selected user
name appears in the cell in the upper right corner.
2. Press ACTIVATE Account button. User is enabled and user now needs
to be assigned a group. See Assign a User’s Group under Create a
New User.
NOTE: The user may be required to enter a new password during his/her
next login. The system default password is “password123”.
Lamp Hour Data To view lamp runtime:
1. Go to Main Screen.
2. Press LOGIN/LOGOUT button.
3. Log in with supervisor username and password, or log in as a user
assigned to the supervisor group.
4. Press GO TO MAINT SCREEN button.
To reset lamp hours for a new lamp:
1. Press RESET LAMP button next to appropriately numbered lamp.
2. Note the change in LAMP RUNTIME cell. Lamp runtime for that lamp
updates and reads “0” hours.
NOTE: Lamp runtimes read ***** if the controller is not wirelessly connected
to unit. Move the controller closer to the PATHOGON UV Disinfection
System for connectivity.
PATHOGON Datalog
Download Procedure
1. Install micro-USB to USB adaptor cable provided with PATHOGON
controller to micro-USB connector on the tablet.

2. Install a USB memory stick on adaptor cable.
3. On PATHOGON Main Screen, log in as Supervisor and press CYCLE DATALOGS
button.
4. Press COPY DATALOGS TO USB button on Cycle Logs screen:
Cycle datalog file is now copied to USB memory stick. The following message
appears if the copy data is successful:

NOTE: If a datalog file of the same name already exists on the memory
stick, the following message appears:
NOTE: If the USB drive is not installed or is defective, the following
message appears:
Datalog file contains all cycles run for the current year.
5. Open Datalog file with Microsoft Excel. The following appears:
