5) Now the limit switch cable with connector (A)
Fig.5 must be connected to the connector
(B) found under the control panel. Remove
rubber cap (C), align the connector holes
with the pins and push to connect.
6) This safety guard comes with a guard
extension (A) Fig.6. Install guard extension
to the main guard (B) as shown using the
supplied lock knobs (C) and hex. bolts.
Adjustments
Adjusting the Safety Guards Height
The position of the safety guards can be
adjusted vertically to cover a range of different
sized chucks and tools.
1) To adjust the safety guard height, loosen the
lock knob (A) Fig.7 on the left side, then
adjust the vertical position of the safety
guard (B) and retighten the lock knob. To
adjust the guard extension height, loosen the
lock knobs (C) on both sides, then adjust the
vertical position of the guard extension (D)
and retighten the lock knob.
Note: The entire chuck body must be covered
by the Safety Guard/Guard Extension.
When the Safety Guard is opened, the Drill
Press will automatically detect the Safety Guard
is open and will turn off the machine. The Drill
Press can only be operated while the Safety
Guard is completely closed.
