  • Hello! I've reviewed the assembly instructions for the Porter High Torque Winch models 713HT and 713220HT. This document focuses on the pulley installation, detailing how to properly align and secure the pulleys, and adjust the v-belt tension. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
HIGH TORQUE WINCH - PULLEY INSTALLATION GUIDE
No. 713HT and 713220HT

5/32” Allen Key
Vibra-TITE® High Strength Threadlocker - 14050 by Loctite®
1. Pulley Installation
A. After unpacking the unit, place 9” pulley onto gearbox shaft in orientation shown below.
B. Using a level or similar object, align the top face of the 9” pulley with the 2” pulley attached to the motor output shaft.

C. Apply Loctite® to threads of pulley set screw and tighten set screw into pulley.
D. Install cogged v-belt onto pulleys; this is best done by wrapping belt around 2” pulley, then feeding it onto 9” pulley while
turning the pulley by hand.
E. Adjust the v-belt tension roller such that the v-belt has enough tension that it will not slip during operation, but do not over
tension the v-belt.
F. Apply Loctite® to threads of ¼-20 hex head screw. Install fender washer, lock washer, and screw into gearbox shaft as
shown to the above right.
G. Proceed with installation of winch following instruction manual included in package (INST00226130).
