The Lorex LX1082-88 is a versatile security camera system that provides crystal-clear 4K Ultra HD video surveillance for both indoor and outdoor use. You can easily access and control the system remotely via the Lorex Cloud app on your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to view live footage, receive motion-activated alerts, and even control the cameras' movement (for PTZ models).

Before You Start:
Make sure you
have a router
and high-speed
Internet access
(not included).
Connect your DVR
to your router
using an Ethernet
cable (see the
Quick Connection
Guide for details).
Upgrade your DVR
firmware and client
software or mobile
app to the latest
versions.

Tap to open the menu. Tap Devices, then tap
Add.

Install the free Lorex Cirrus app
from the App Store or Google
Play Store.
Tap the Lorex Cirrus icon to open
the app.

Live video from your security system will appear on
the app. Double-tap one of the channels to see video
from a single camera.

Ensure Device ID is selected.
Tap to scan the QR
code on the top of
your recorder using
the camera on your
mobile device.
Ensure the Client Port reads 9000.
Enter the username (default: admin).
Enter the the secure password you recorded on the Quick
Connection Guide
Tap Save.
Enter the following:
Main menu
Select channels
for live viewing
from all
connected
devices
Configure settings
for selected channel
Channel name
Date and time
stamp
Split-screen
options
Save a
snapshot of
the current live
view
Tap to enable
the camera’s
intercom; tap
again to stop
Tap to start
manual recording;
tap again to stop
Tap to switch to full HD
video quality; tap again for
reduced video quality that
is optimized for streaming
Tap to switch
between muted
and unmuted

If you have forgotten your password,
contact Lorex technical support.
See the label on top of your DVR for
your Device ID
If you are having trouble
connecting, try the following:
Restart the DVR by disconnecting
the power adapter, then
reconnecting it.
Ensure the DVR is connected to the
router using an Ethernet cable and
then restart the DVR.
Double check the Username,
Password, and Client Port.
Ensure your DVR has the latest
firmware.
Ensure your mobile app is up-to-
date.

PC from lorex.com.
Download and install the client software:
Mac Users: Download and install Lorex Client
13 for Mac from lorex.com. Double-click to
extract the software, then drag the software to
Applications.

on the desktop or Applications list.

DVR’s Device
ID recorded in
section 1

DVR

screen in the Lorex Client 13 home
screen.
