product.
You have chosen a modern and easy to operate Smart
Plug.
The device comes with a 3 year warranty. In case of a
defect in the Smart Plug, the enclosed warranty card
and proof of purchase are required. Keep these in a
safe place.

Read and keep instructions
This Operating Instruction belong to this
Smart Plug. It contains important informati-
on about the start up and handling.
Study these Operating Instructions and, in
particular the Safety Information in detail prior to using
the Smart Plug. Non observance of these Operating
Instructions can lead to loss of data or damage to the
Smart Plug.
These Operating Instructions are based on valid stan-
dards and regulations of the EU. Also observe specific
guidelines and laws in other countries!
Keep the Operating Instructions for further use. When
passing on the Smart Plug to third parties please also
include these Operating Instructions.
Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in
these Operating Instructions, on the device or on the
packaging.

Correct use
The Smart Plug is solely designed to be used as a Smart
Plug. It is only suitable for private and not commercial
use.
Only use the Smart Plug as described in the Operating
Instructions. Any other use is deemed to be incorrect
and can cause material damage and loss of data.
The manufacturers or dealers do not accept any liability
for damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.
Safety information
WARNING!
Electrocution hazard!
Faulty electrical installations or excessive main voltage
can cause electrocution.
Only connect the Smart Plug if the main voltage of
the power point matches the voltage specified on
the rating plate.
Do not operate the Smart Plug in case of visible
damage or connector is defective.
Do not open the housing but have repair carried
out by an expert. Contact a specialist workshop. All
liability and warranty claims shall be void in case of
repairs carried out by users, incorrect connection or
improper use.

The Smart Plug may not be operated with an exter-
nal timer or separate remote control system.
Never immerse the affiliated components to water
or other fluids. There is a fire and electric shock
hazard.
Keep Smart Plug away from open flames and hot
surfaces.
Ensure that children do not push objects into the
Smart Plug
When not using or cleaning the Smart Plug or in
case of a fault, always switch off the Smart Plug and
disconnect it from the power supply.
WARNING!
Hazard for children and persons with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental abilities (such as partially disa-
bled, older persons with limited physical and mental
abilities) or lack of experience and know-how (such
as older children).
This Smart Plug may not be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or
lack of experience or know-how provided they
are supervised or have been instructed on how to
safely use the Smart Plug and understand hazards
resulting therefrom. Children may not play with the
Smart Plug. The Smart Plug may not be cleaned or
maintained by children.
Keep children under the age of eight away from the
Smart Plug.
Do not leave the Smart Plug unattended during
operation.

Keep packaging foil away from children. They could
get caught in it during play and could suffocate.
NOTE!
Danger of material damage!
Incorrect use of the Smart Plug can cause the Smart
Plug to be damaged
When installing and assembling the Smart Plug
ensure that a 10 cm gap is maintained on all sides
in order to provide adequate ventilation. Ensure, in
particular, that ventilation slots are not covered by
newspaper, table clothes or curtains.
When cleaning, never immerse the Smart Plug in
water and do not use steam cleaner. The Smart Plug
could otherwise be damaged.
Do not use the Smart Plug if plastic or metal parts
of it show cracks or tears or are deformed. Replace
damaged parts only with original spare parts.
If the Smart Plug has been dropped or the housing
is damaged, turn it off. Otherwise there is a fire and
electric shock hazard.
The Smart Plug may not be taken apart, modified or
repaired. There is a fire and electric shock hazard.
Damage to the electronics or accessory caused by
external influences such as impacts, falls or others
are not covered by the warranty and are charge-
able.
Do not drop or bump the Smart Plug and always
treat it with care. Otherwise, it could get damaged.

Preparing the Smart Plug
Remove packaging material and all protective foil.

Keep plastic foil and bags away from babies and small
children as danger of suffocation.
NOTE!
Danger of damage!
If the packaging is carelessly opened with a sharp knife
or other pointed objects, the product can be easily da-
maged.
Please open packaging carefully.
1. Check that delivery is complete (see Fig. A).
2. Remove the Smart Plug from packaging and check
whether the equipment or parts are damaged. If
yes, do not use the Smart Plug. Contact the service
address of the manufacturer listed on the Warranty
Card.

Operation
Connecting the Smart Plug
Please follow the below instructions in order to ensure
that your Smart Plug is connected correctly.
1. Plug Smart Plug into a mains socket.
2. The WiFi / Power – LED (green) starts to flash.
3. Once theSmart Plug has configured itself the green
LED is switched off.
Mains:
On: Power supply on (Smart Plug is activated).
Off: Power supply off (Smart Plug is deactivated).1
WLAN: Internet connection
Green off: Internet connection is not ready.
Green on: Internet connection is ready.
Green flashing: WLAN is ready.
Set up Smartphones
Follow the below instructions for installing the App
“Maginon Smartplug” on your Smartphone.
1. Search for App “Maginon Smartplug” in Google store
or at Google Play.

2. Download App and install.
3. Follow the instructions for iOS or Android in the fol-
lowing section of the Operating Instructions
The Smart Plug works with WLAN or the
router of your Internet connection. Where
several Smart Plugs are to be connected
to a Smartphone, each device must be
connected separatelyn.
4. Once the Download has been completed the sym-
bol
of the App appears on the display of the
Smartphone.
5. Once you have downloaded the App, you need to
register with supra space. You can use your existing
log-on data if you are already using supra space.

1. Start App
If you have not registered with supra space before,
please complete the fields “User name” (freely selec-
table) and “Password” (freely selectable) and “Confirm
password” (repeat password). Once you have comple-
ted the fields confirm your information by selecting

If you are already a supra space client use
your usual log-in information.

Open the WLAN menu of your Smartphone. A list of all
available WLAN networks appears that are within the
cover range of your Smartphone. Search for the WLAN
network namedPlugSetup_xxxxxx“ (with “xxxxxx
representing the last 6 digits of the MAC address of the
Smart Plug). Connect your Smartphone to this WLAN
network.

2. Click plus symbol and the configuration page of
the APP appears
Please keep the Power switch on the Smart Plug de-
pressed for 15 seconds. Wait until the WiFi/Power LED
starts to flash quickly. Your Smartphone/tablet provi-
des a WiFi network under the name “PlugSetup” in this
status. Select .

3. In the next step, you now need to select your net-
work to which the Smart Plug is to be connected.
Once you have selected your network, enter your net-
work key under “WiFi key” and select .

code yourself, the code can be found on
the rear of the router.

5. The connection between your Smart Plug, your
Smartphone/tablet and the WiFi network has been
established.
Please select once the WiFi/Power LED is on

7. When selecting a device on the start menu, the set-
tings of the device connected to the Smart Plug are
opened.
Name: You can give the device a name of your choice.
Time Zone: Set up the correct country time zone for
the location of the Smart Plug as the set time schedules
cannot function without this information.
Profile Picture: You can assign a suitable symbol to
your device by touching the symbol.
By selecting the clock symbol
on the bottom left, the
timer clock settings are opened. Click on

8. The Schedule menu contains all self generated au-
tomatic time settings. Settings can be modified in
this menu or added using the Plus symbol
at the
bottom left.
For adding new time settings, the following setting op-
tions are available:
Weeksdays: Selection of weekdays.
Time: Selection of time when the action is to start
or end.
Action:
Switch On: Switch on device.
Switch Off: Switch off device.
