Always turn the set off when it is not to /"w--,
be used. When the set is left unattended
and unused for long periods of time,
unplug it from the wall outlet as a
precaution against the possibility of an
internal malfunction that could create a fire hazard.
Object and Liquid Entry
Never push objects of any kind into the
set through the cabinet slots as they may
touch dangerous voltage points or short
out parts that could result in a fire or

Outdoor Antenna Grounding
If an outdoor antenna is installed, follow the precautions
below.
An outdoor antenna system should not be located in the
vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or
power circuits, or where it can come in contact with such
power lines or circuits.
WHEN INSTALLING AN OUTDOOR ANTENNA SYSTEM,
EXTREMECARESHOULD BETAKEN TO KEEPFROM
CONTACTING SUCH POWER LINES ORCIRCUITS AS
CONTACT WITH THEM IS ALMOSTINVARIABLY FATAL.
Be sure the antenna system is grounded so as to provide
some protection against voltage surges and built-up static
charges. Section 810 of the National Electrical Code (NEC) in
USA and Section 54 of the Canadian Electrical Code in
Canada provides information with respect to proper
grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding
of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of
grounding conductors, location of antenna discharge unit,
connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for
the grounding electrode.

technician to restore the set to normal operation.
When the set exhibits a distinct change in performance
-- this indicatesa need for service.
Servicing
Do not attempt to servicethe setyourself
sinceopening the cabinet may expose you to
dangerousvoltage or other hazards. Refer all
