Vent components must be installed by a qualied service
agency in accordance with these instructions and the
product installation guide.
These instructions are included as part of the appliance installation
instructions. Read the entire product installation guides completely
before installing this roof ashing.
CAUTION: When mounting this venting component do
not modify or substitute any parts provided. Do not deform
or penetrate the inner gas vent pipe when mounting.

FLASHING INSTALLATION
1. Plumb and locate the knockout area for the vent pipe follow the
product installation manual and all local codes for proper vent
location and height.
2. If this is a retro-installation, remove any roof rock or other materi-
als down to the underlayment away to at least 15 inches from
the center of the vent pipe location.
Note: If this is a non-combustible roof (i.e. corregated metal or
sheet rock) a restop at roof grade may not be required. However a
1 inch clearance to combustible wood framing and insulation must
be maintained.
3. Cut a 10-3/4'' X 10-3/4'' square knockout and frame the restop
to the dimensions shown in Figure 1. (8-1/2'' round hole, when
installing through a non-combustible roof).
4. Install the vent pipe through the restop or roof opening to the
required height.
5. Loose t the ashing assembly assembly with storm collar and
termination to ensure proper height. See Figure 2.

6. Remove the termination cap and slide the ashing and storm
collar components up.
7. Apply several heavy continuous beads of silicone sealant to the
prepared surface underlaying the ange area. See Figure 3.
8. Slide the ange down into position and secure the ange to the
roof surface with roong nails or power staples.
9. Apply a bead of non-hardening waterproof mastic or ashing
compound to the top edge of the ashing collar at the vent pipe.
10. Slip the storm collar down to the top edge of the ashing and
tighten the collar snug to the pipe.
11. Apply a nal bead af mastic or ashing compound to the top
edge of the storm collar at the vent pipe.
12. Attach termination cap to the vent pipe. Do not screw onto the pipe.
13. Apply roong or ashing compound over the ange edges and
up to the seam area at the base of the ashing collar.
The ashing installation is now completed and ready for roong.
