vate property and closed courses, not on public streets and sidewalks.
Always drive defensively, and watch out for potential obstacles that may
catch your wheel or cause you to swerve suddenly.
Always check any local laws or regulations which may aect where the
Jetson Drifter may be used.
Ride at your own risk and use common sense. Any rider that is unable to t
comfortably on the vehicle should not attempt to ride it. All decisions on who
is allowed to ride the Jetson Drifter should be made based on their maturity,
skill, and ability to follow the rules.
Keep this product away from small children. It is intended for use by people
who are, at a minimum, comfortable and competent when operating the
Jetson Drifter.
The Jetson Drifter is designed for one rider. Never carry passengers, and do
not attach the Jetson Drifter to other objects.
This product was manufactured for performance and durability, but is not
impervious to damage. Jumping and aggressive riding can over-stress and
damage the Jetson Drifter. The rider assumes all responsibility and risk
associated with high-stress activity.
Keep your ngers and other body parts away from the drive chain, steer-
ing system, wheels, and all other moving components when operating the

Drifter.

the product in water. The electrical components can be damaged by water
and create other unsafe conditions.

accident and injury. Avoid wet, slick, bumpy, uneven or rough surfaces while
using the Jetson Drifter. Never risk damaging surfaces such as carpet and
ooring by using the product indoors.

TESTING THE BRAKE:
To use the brake, squeeze the lever slowly to increase the pressure on the
brake. The brake lever is tted with a cable adjuster to allow for ne-tuning the
lever movement and cable stretch. Make sure that the brake cable doesn’t get in
the way of the wheel, or strain when turning the steering handles.
BEFORE YOUR FIRST RIDE:
CHARGING:
Only use the supplied charger when charging the Jetson Drifter. Do not place
the charger near ammable materials. Be sure to regularly check the charger
for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. In the event of any
such damage, do not charge the Jetson Drifter again until the charger has been
repaired or replaced.
Before your rst use, charge the Jetson Drifter for 12 hours. After this
initial charge, normal recharge time will take between 4-7 hours, depend-
ing on battery level. When plugged into the wall, the charger’s light will glow
green. The light will turn red when plugged into the Jetson Drifter, which means
that it is currently charging. When the Jetson Drifter is fully charged, the light on
the charger will turn from red to green. Unplug the charger from both the Jetson
Drifter and the AC wall outlet. When the Jetson Drifter is not in use, fully charge
it before storage and recharge the battery at least once a month until normal use
is resumed.
USAGE:
To start, turn the power switch ON.
Place both hands on the handlebars, choose your speed setting, and press
the push button throttle.
NOTE: Keep both feet on the foot pegs while the vehicle is in motion.
To stop, release the push button throttle and apply the brake until the Jetson
Drifter comes to a complete stop.
When turning, please be cautious, as the Jetson Drifter will easily turn in
circles and do small donuts.
NOTE: Make sure the power is turned
OFF when the Jetson Drifter is charging
or otherwise not in use. If the power
switch is left on for extended periods
of time, the battery may reach a stage
where it will no longer hold a charge.

REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE:
ADJUSTING THE BRAKE:
To adjust the brake cable tension, thread the brake lever adjuster in or out about
a quarter to half turn, until the desired brake adjustment is attained.
If the brake needs to be further adjusted, remove the motor cover/chain guard,
loosen the nut on the brake cable, and adjust the cable accordingly. Securely
tighten the nut when you have nished your adjustments.
NOTE: Make sure the power switch is turned OFF and is not connected
to the wall before attempting to inspect or adjust any part of the Jetson
Drifter.
CHAIN AND SPROCKET:
The chain will typically have a “loose spot,” which corresponds to a particular
sprocket rotational position. This is normal and common to all chain-driven prod-
ucts, due to run-out tolerances of the freewheel and the sprocket. Proper chain
alignment must be maintained.
BATTERY CARE AND DISPOSAL:
Do not attempt to open or alter the battery of the Jetson Drifter. Do not
store the battery in temperatures above 140o Fahrenheit or below 14o Fahren-
heit.
When disposing of the battery, please follow all local laws and regulations, and
dispose of it at a proper battery disposal location.
