General Information
This kit is designed to help the user purge the lines of air when using the

5. Before beginning the purge operation follow your company procedures regarding
grounding of tooling. At this point it is also assumed that the user supplied valve is
connected to a device to vent gas away from the work area.
While holding the body of the Purge Tool (with the valve closed) begin rotating the
handle counter clockwise until it reaches the positive stop.
Do not allow the Purge Tool Body to turn on the Purge Point when performing this
operation or the plug lead could be lost and make it possible to cross thread when
reinstalling.
6. Once the positive stop has been reached the user supplied valve can be opened to vent
air from line.
If a potential exists for any flammable gas to be expelled during the charging or purging
process, be certain to follow your employer’s safety requirements for the length and
composition of the purging hose or line that is connected to the purging valve.

7. Once air has been purged from line, close user supplied valve and while holding Purge
Tool Body from rotating, turn handle clockwise until the positive stop is reached. At this
point plug should be threaded into the purge point and fully returned to the original
starting position. Open user supplied valve to ensure the plug seal has been made before
removing tool from Purge Point fitting.
8. If seal wasn’t fully reached the plug fitting can be tightened additionally by loosening the
cap and rotating both the handle and the purge body simultaneously until seal has been
made.
