IMPORTANT SAFETY ADVICE
Note: In the interests of your own safety please read through the following safety advice carefully and make yourself
familiar with all the functions of the equipment. In addition, you must also read the advice in the accompanying booklet
called "Safety advice" before using the equipment for the first time.
Be careful to retain these operating instructions and safety advice notes and if necessary pass them on to a third party.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To obtain the best results do not use too much pressure but try to work using a constant speed.
The following basic rules apply: small tools = high speed and large tools = low speed.
For milling and engraving work, hold the tool like a pen (keeping the ventilation slots free).
For coarse work, hold the tool like a hammer.
CUTTING AND SAWING
Attachments: Figure a): 1 saw blade , 10 cutting discs
Areas of use: The saw blade is suitable for plastic and wood (see Fig. b).
Use the cutting discs for cutting steel, metal (see Fig. c), wood or plastic.
Speed ranges:
4
Material Speed Controller setting
Hardwood maximum
Softwood maximum
Plastic medium
Steel low
Aluminium etc. high
GRINDING
Attachments: Figure d): 2 "diamond bits"  , 1 silicon grinding point (green) ,
4 corundum grinding points (red) , 2 silicon grinding discs (green) ,
2 corundum grinding discs (red)
Areas of use: The "diamond bits” are suitable for fine work on all materials. The green silicon attachments
(grinding point and grinding disc ) are suitable for working on hard materials such as glass,
ceramics or alloy steel. You can use the red corundum attachments (grinding point and grinding
disc ) for cleaning, polishing, sharpening and grinding metal (see Fig. e).
Speed ranges:
CLEANING
Attachments: Figure f): 1 plastic brush , 1 plastic brushing disc , 1 brass brushing disc
Areas of use: The cleaning attachments can be used for cleaning cutlery, jewellery or tools (see also Fig. g).
The brass brushing disc does not create sparks and is softer than steel. This ensures that the
tools do not leave behind any scratches on softer materials and thus are very suitable for gold,
copper, brass and other precious metals.
Speed ranges:
MILLING
Attachments: Figure h): 3 milling bits
Areas of use: The 3 milling bits are suitable for high speed milling of various materials. Use these
attachments particularly for miscellaneous types of work such as recessing, carving, shaping,
grooving or chasing (see Fig. i).

POLISHING
Attachments: Figure k): 3 polishing pads
Areas of use: The polishing pads can be used for most metals and plastics (see Fig. l).
They are particularly suitable for precious metals like gold or silver.
When polishing you must always use very light pressure only.
Speed ranges:
DRILLING
Attachments: Figure m): 6 universal HSS drills
Areas of use: The drills, sized 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, are suitable for metal and plastic (see Fig. n).
Speed ranges:
CHUCKS
Chucks: Figure o): 2 attachment clamps with threaded connection , 4 collet chucks in various
diameters, some also fit the special tools
Areas of use: The range of chucks and clamps ensures that the special attachments can always be fitted
as required.
They guarantee that the tool is securely held and that you will obtain the best results.

INSERTING / CHANGING CHUCKS
WARNING: Pull out the mains plug before changing attachments.
Never engage the spindle lock (Fig. p) until the tool has stopped.
1. Gently turn the chuck
(Fig. p) and press the spindle lock until it engages.
2. Unscrew the chuck and replace it with another chuck or clamp.
INSERTING TOOL / ATTACHMENTS IN CHUCK
WARNING: Pull out the mains plug before changing any attachments.
Never engage the spindle lock (Fig. p) until the tool has stopped.
1. Gently turn the chuck
(Fig. p) and press the spindle lock until it engages.
2. Slacken the chuck and change the attachment.
Insert attachments so that as little as possible projects beyond the end of the chuck. Too long a projecting tool shaft bends
easily and can lead to vibrations.
TIPS AND TRICKS
Do not exert use too much force when using your model-making and engraving set.
If you use too much pressure you could break the bits or damage the object on which you are working.
Make sure the accessories you use are clean and sharp.
If at all possible, attach the object on which you are working to a secure, stable surface.
Use lower speeds for metal than for hard- or softwood.
Plastic can melt at the contact points so you should only work on plastic with very low speeds.
If vibrations occur with a correctly inserted attachment, then you should carefully increase the tool operating speed.
You can find further practical tips in the accompanying booklet "Safety Advice".
We reserve the right to make technical modifications in the course of further development.
