Avermedia AVerIR

The Avermedia AVerIR is a device that allows you to control your Windows Vista Media Center using the remote control that came with your AVerMedia product. With the AVerIR, you can turn the application on or off, mute or unmute the sound, use the numeric buttons to select a channel, switch to live TV, change between available audio modes, navigate through on-screen items, adjust the volume, jump to specific teletext pages, view Teletext or Closed Caption information, view EPG information, record the current program, play or pause media, skip forward or backward through media, stop playback, switch to TimeShift mode, activate the Picture in Picture or Multi-Channel Display function, capture images, change the channel, go back to the previous page, return to the previously accessed channel, or change between available signal sources.

AVerIR Set Up (optional installation features)
The remote control is compatible with Microsoft Vista Media Center Edition. If you want to use the
remote control on Windows Vista Media Center, you need to install the driver with AVerIR function
and set Windows Vista Media Center as the default TV application. To activate the AVerIR function,
please visit AVerMedia website http://www.avermedia.com
for the most updated driver and follow
the steps below:
Install the AVerIR
1. Download the driver with AVerIR function according to your device model from AVerMedia
website.
2. Double-click the name of the .exe file you downloaded to install the driver
Note: It will overwrite your existing driver.
3. If installation success, you can see an added “AVerMedia Infrared Receiver” item in Device
Manager.
4. Right-click AVerQuick, choose “Setting”, and select the preferred application in the
“Application” tab. Then you can use the remote control packaged with AVerMedia product to
remote the Windows Media Center.
Uninstall the AVerIR
If you want to remove the AVerIR function, do the following:
1. Go to Control Panel>Program and Features.
2. Select “AVerMedia H777 Hybrid DVB-T” and click Uninstall/Change.
3. Then you need to install the driver without AVerIR function again to work AVerMedia device
normally.
NOTE:
If you reinstall the driver without AVerIR function without removing the driver with
AVerIR first, this may cause a device manager error from can not find the AVerIR
device, so we recommend to uninstall the driver with AVerIR first.
