Convenient, easy to wire for use with 2-wire cord #18
AWG flat types SPT-1 and SPT-2 or round type SJT
(Maximum diameter 0.29"(7.4mm)).
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Unplug cord from outlet.
2. Where switch is to be
positioned, slit FLAT
CORD 3" between
conductors. Cut
nonribbed conductor as
shown (Fig.1).
Twist each end tightly.
3. Remove outer screws and open cord switch.
Loosen the two brass terminal screws inside,
and wrap stripped conductors 3/4 around
terminal screws as shown (Fig 2). Tighten
terminal screws.
4. Press the screw-connected wires into slots
A & B and the uncut wire into channel C (Fig. 3).
5. Replace switch cover and secure with outer
screws.
NOTE:
FOR ROUND CORD: Open cord switch. Remove thin
plastic barrier at each end (D) of top by breaking
inward (not outward) with needle nose pliers (see
Fig. 4 and Fig. 5). Safety glasses should be worn.
Remove 2 1/2" of the outer jacket. Cut black
conductor as shown (Fig. 6).

Conveniente y fácil de conectar, para usar con cable
de 2 hilos AWG #18, plano del tipo SPT-1 y SPT-2, ó
SJT redondo (diámetro máximo de 0,29"(7.4mm)).
INSTRUCCIONES:
1. Desconecte el cable del
tomacorriente.
2. En el lugar donde
colocará el interruptor,
haga una incisión de 3"
en el CABLE PLANO
entre los conductores.
Corte el conductor no estriado como se muestra
(Fig.1). Gire cada extremo ligeramente.
3. Remueva los tornillos externos y abra el
interruptor de cables. Afloje los dos
terminales de bronce internos, y haga girar
los conductores desnudos 3/4 alrededor de
los terminales de tornillo según se muestra
(Fig. 2). Apriete los terminales de tornillo.
4. Empuje los cables conectados por tornillo dentro
de las ranuras A & B, y el cable no cortado dentro
del canal C (Fig. 3).
5. Reemplace la
cubierta del
interruptor y
asegure los
tornillos externos.
NOTA:
PARA EL CABLE REDONDO: Abra el interruptor de cables.
Remueva la barrera plástica fina de cada extremo (D) en
la parte superior, rompiendo hacia adentro (no hacia
afuera) con pinzas de punta de aguja (ver Fig. 4 y Fig. 5).
Use gafas de seguridad. Remueva 2 1/2" de la camisa
externa. Corte el conductor negro como se muestra (Fig. 6)
