Danfoss H1 Pump Shaft Seal Retaining Ring Replacement Installation guide

As part of continuing product improvement eﬀort and to commonize design, Sauer-Danfoss

is implementing a design change to the shaft seal retaining ring used in all H1P 45/53cc single

and tandem pumps. This kit contains two non-interchangeable shaft seal retaining rings where

only one will be utilized. In order to determine which retaining ring is required, an identiﬁ cation

mark has been added to the face of the mounting ﬂ ange. This identiﬁ cation mark denotes that

the housing has a larger groove that will require the use of the thicker snap-ring style retaining

ring (refer to diagram). Once this determination has been made, the other retaining ring may be

discarded.
