Cooking tips
Baking
When baking cakes, biscuits, brownies, muffins and cookies make sure everything will fit in
the bowl and on top of the baking tray. Disposable aluminum foil work well as they allow for
faster and even cooking. Preheating is not necessary and do not overcook or burn food items
while using aluminum.
Air frying
Little or no oil is used, yet the effect is like pan-frying or deep-frying. If oil is used , only a thin
layer of oil should be evenly applied to the food with the aid of pastry brush. Spray or brush
vegetable oil onto the baking tray to assist with easier removal of cooked food. One food has
finished cooking, remove the top lid from the bowl, otherwise the steam will cause the food
become soggy instead of crispy.
When you have made chips from fresh potatoes and the result is not crispy, please use waxy
potatoes. Young potatoes contain more water and therefore take longer to cook and it is
possible that they may not go as crispy.
Also make sure the chips are cut not too thick and use enough oil.
Recipes
All cooking times are approximate. Always ensure food is fully cooked inside before serving.
The following recipe temperature and timing are for guidance only, timings may vary
according to the weight of the food being cooked, and individual taste.
