CHOICE OF SPEED (8)
1. BLENDING this is a good speed for coarse or dry ingredients such as flour, butter and baby food
2. STIRRING starting speed for liquid ingredients such as salad dressings
3. MIXING for mixing cake mix, for example
4. CREAMING for creaming butter and sugar, desserts and other sweet foods
5. BEATING for beating eggs, blending frosting, mashing potatoes, whipping cream, etc.
HAND BLENDER
Remove plug from the socket. Remove the whisks / dough hooks.Open the flap (6) and press the blender
staff with a rotating motion into the space under the flap. The blender staff is switched on/off with the
switch. The blender staff CANNOT be operated with the hand mixer speed switch. To disengage the
blender staff, press the button (5) and keep pressing while pulling out the blender staff from the mixer.
The tall mixing bowl (10) is especially practical when using the hand blender.
A safety switch ensures that the blender staff only works when the staff is actually attached to the
appliance. This safety switch also ensures that the stand mixer only works if the flap (6) is shut.
Please note: the plastic blender staff is not suitable for mixing warm liquids!
CLEANING
NEVER SUBMERGE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID!!
Remove the plug from the socket and disengage the accessories. Clean the mixer with a damp cloth.
Clean the accessories (whisks, dough hooks, blender staff) with soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
NOVA TIPS:
1. This mixer is intended for household use only. Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when operating this appliance around children or when
allowing children to use it. Never leave the mixer unattended where children may have access to it.
2. Remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use, when attaching or removing
accessories and for cleaning.
3. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, clothes and equipment well away from the blades
when in use. This will prevent injury and/or damage to the blender.
4. In the case of damage to the appliance or cord, we recommend that you do not use the appliance,
but return it to the point of purchase for repairs. Only service personnel using special tools may
replace a damaged cord.
5. We strongly advise against using other accessories not included with the appliance. Make sure that
the cord, or extension cord if necessary, is placed where no one can stumble over it and away from
hot surfaces.
6. Remove the accessories prior to cleaning.
7. Do not place the mixer near heat sources.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given initial
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
9. Children shall be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
10. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour
markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
