Use during cold weather conditions
Cold temperatures (i.e. below freezing) may have an effect on the battery capacity of the PSU.
The current in the PSU may dissipate when ofine at sub-zero temperatures. Under no circumstances should
you charge your LE5B at sub-zero temperatures. That will damage the lithium ion batteries and it is possible
that the battery capacity cannot be restored.
Low temperature charge protection:
If there is charging current at sub-zero temperatures, the system will automatically stop the charging process.
The charging process is continued when the temperature is above 5 °C.
Low temperature discharge protection:
In case of temperatures below -20 °C the system will shut off the AC and DC output and the unit is automati-
cally switched off within 15 seconds. The system can supply power again when the temperature is above -15 °C.
7.2 AC output 230 V~
Connection of mains-powered electric devices to the receptacle of the AC output:
Make sure that the mains plug of the other electric device is properly connected to the receptacle of the AC
output.
NOTE
Connect the electric device to the receptacle of the AC output
and check whether it is properly connected.
The connected device must be suited for the operation at 230 V~, 50 Hz AC.
Make sure that the device is switched off before you connect it.
Operation of electric devices
Make sure that the electric devices are switched off prior to use.
Check the battery‘s capacity in accordance with the LED display 1-4. The battery must be charged sufciently.
The useful life depends on the ambient temperature, the charging status of the integrated lithium ion batteries
and the power consumption of the connected device. It is normal that the unit gets hot while supplying current.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the electric devices work properly prior to use.
The max. AC power consumption for electric devices is 300 W.
Due to the different types of electric devices, it is possible that they may not operate
even if their power consumption is less than 300 W.
Compared to an AC power source in a house, it is also possible that a lower power input
may occur for the electric device.
If the unit is connected to a radio, video player, TV screen, etc., it is possible that noise may occur.
Stop use immediately if the current ow is interrupted repeatedly.
Contact the dealer or our customer service center for assistance.

2. Make sure that the battery‘s capacity is greater than 60 % (four battery segments).
3. Make sure that the clips of the jump start cable are not damaged.
Car jump start assist
1. Before you connect the PSU to your car‘s battery, it is necessary to switch off all other loads drawing bat-
tery power in the car
2. Attach the red clip now to the positive pole and the black clip to the negative pole of the car battery.
3. Plug the other end of the jump start cable into the provided socket of the PSU.
4. Turn the key to start your car as usual.
5. After starting, you can remove the cable from the unit and then remove the black clip (ground) and the
red clip (positive) from the car battery. The sequence must always be observed, since noncompliance could
otherwise result in a short circuit.
NOTE
Make sure that prior to starting the red and black clips are securely attached
to the car‘s battery poles and that there is sufcient space between the clips such that they can
not fall or touch each other due to the vibrations of the vehicle‘s engine.
Failure to do so may result in a short circuit and damage the vehicle‘s electronics or even the PSU.
The red and black clips must NOT come in direct contact with one another.
That could otherwise result in serious accidents.
While the car‘s engine is starting, make sure that you stay away to prevent any possible injury
that may be caused by the running engine.
Remove the equipment from the battery within 30 seconds after the car‘s engine has started,
otherwise the PSU may be damaged or accidents can occur.

8. Estimated running time
Device current from the PSU
• Smartphone (2-4 Wh) 100+ charge cycles
• Tablet (25 - 42 Wh) 10+ charge cycles
• Laptop (50 Wh) 8+ hrs.
• Desktop computer (100 W) 4 hrs.
• Mini refrigerator (30-60 W) 6-12 hrs.
• 32“ LCD TV (98-156 W) 2-4 hrs.
• Vacuum cleaner (200-300 W) 1-2 hrs.
• Mixer/processor (200-300 W) 1-2 hrs.
It is a good idea to check the wattage of your device if you want to determine how long the PSU is able to
power it.
Check the capacity for the individual output connections. For instance, the AC connection is monitored by a
power inverter, which enables a continuous output of 300 W. That means if the device requires more than
300W of power over an extended period, the PSU‘s power inverter will switch off. As soon as you know that
your device is compatible, you should determine how long you are able to operate your device with the aid of
the PSU. Here is a quick guide:
Watt hour (Wh) is the unit of battery capacity and measures the amount of power that can be stored after a
full charge. It tells you whether your equipment is compatible with the respective charger. For instance, a 200
Wh battery should be able to power a 100 W lamp for 2 hours (200/100 = 2). If your equipment has a capacity
of 390 Wh, you need to check the limitations of the output connections.
NOTE
The above data are to be used only as reference points.
The approx. values were determined with an ambient temperature of 25 °C and fully charged battery.
These values may vary, depending on the manufacturer of the electric device, unit, etc.
Devices may not operate, even if the output of the power supply unit is below 300W,
for certain types of electrical devices.
In case of overload, the unit is switched off automatically and output is interrupted.
In case of Plasma TVs, LCD TVs with screens greater than 41“, desktop computers, and other devices
with high power consumption, as well as household devices with uctuating power consumption
or with power factor correction may not operate normally or at all, even if the their specied
operating power is below 300W.
8.1 Charging while supplying power at same time
The LE5B power supply unit may supply current during the charging process.
During the charging process, the unit can also supply electric devices with current at the same time.
