ENGINEERING MODE
The user must hold down
“ELEVATION UP”
and
“SPEED DOWN”
for 5 seconds after powering up the treadmill to
enter the engineering menus. The P6 menu appears with the software version in the upper right window along with
the model number in the upper left window. Press
“STOP”
to exit P6. The user has 6 engineering modes to choose
from. The
“SPEED”
and
“ELEVATION”
keys scroll through the modes, while
“ENTER”
chooses the mode. HOLDING
the
“ENTER”
button saves information and the
“STOP”
button goes back to the previous screen. When in Engineering
modes 1-5, holding down the
“STOP”
button for 5 seconds will return you to the Engineering Mode Selection Screen.
Display Engineering Mode
Eng 1- Configure Mode Edits variables stored in the NOVRAM. Speed and Incline variables
can be edited in this mode.
Eng 2- Display and Key Test Tests displays and keyboard
Eng 3- Burn In Mode Runs continuous program
Eng 4- Auto Calibration Mode Calibrates both speed and elevation
Eng 5- Speed Sensor Test Tests speed sensor functionality
Eng 6- Stuck Key Test Check for stuck keys
Eng 7- Exit Exit engineering mode
ENG1: EDIT VARIABLES MODE
The display shows the P address. To choose the P address press
“ENTER”

ENG2: DISPLAY TEST MODE
Key Function
ENTER Counts up in all
SPEED UP Turns on individual LCD columns in all the display from left to right
SPEED DOWN Turns on individual LCD columns in all the display from right to left
STOP Turn on and off all displays
ELEVATION UP Turns on individual rows from top to bottom
ELEVATION DOWN Turns on individual rows from bottom to top
START Turns on entire display
QUICK KEYS 0-9 Displays number in the LED windows
ENG 3: BURN IN MODE
The burn in mode can be used to run tests that require the treadmill to continually run. The program is based on the
5k program. Segment changes will occur, depending on the treadmill configuration. When the system reaches the last
segment, it loops to the first segment. Speed start is at half max. The user can adjust the speed and incline. The program
returns to the preset incline upon segment completion. Keyboard functions are the same as in normal operating mode.
ENG 4: AUTO-CALIBRATION
1. Check configuration in ENG 1 before auto-calibrating treadmill.
2. Press the
“ENTER”
key once.

key once to begin Auto-Calibration
4. The treadmill software will look where the elevation stalls to determine the minimum elevation. The software
then automatically backs off to set 0% elevation. The software will then look where the elevation stalls for the
highest point the treadmill elevation will go. The software will automatically back off and set the maximum
elevation, 12% or 15% depending on the treadmill model. Meanwhile the belt is being driven while the
speed is being monitored. As it reaches the minimum, 1/2 max, and max speed the PWM is recorded for
these targets. The Elevation window displays the Elevation A/D and the number in the upper right window
displays the speed PWM.
6. To look at these numbers after calibration go into engineering mode and go to ENG1; press
“ENTER”
.
7. In P2 and P3 the speed will be displayed. Press
“ENTER”
to read the PWM value.

ENG 5: SPEED SENSOR MODE
Press
“START”
. The belt will begin to move. The PWM value is displayed in the upper right window. The Elevation
A/D is displayed in the upper left window. The Dot Matrix displays a flashing row of lights between 2 constant rows
of lights. As the
“SPEED UP”
arrow is pressed the flashing row will flash quicker, indicating a faster PWM.
ENG 6: STUCK KEY TEST
Press any key on the overlay and, if functioning properly, that key will display.
ENG 7: EXIT ENGINEERING
ERROR MESSAGES
Three types of errors can occur; speed, elevation, and EEPROM software error. All three use the same display to indicate
the error, with the error number appearing in the main window. An elevation error shuts down the treadmill and disables
normal operation. A speed sensor error also shuts down the treadmill. The user, however, can enter engineering mode
after an error announcement.

SAFETY SWITCH
If the safety magnet disconnects from the console, the treadmill shuts down if in run mode. The treadmill displays

the main window. This is a safety precaution to warn the user that power is still being applied to the board. This safety
switch condition occurs in any mode, including engineering modes.
When the magnet reconnects to the console, the board resets. Any activity or run time information prior to the reconnection
will be lost.

USER ENGINEERING MODE (DELUXE ONLY)
Your treadmill offers a User Engineering Mode that can access certain data and help to troubleshoot your treadmill.
User Engineering Mode is designed for you to access functions that will not affect important treadmill settings. To
access this mode please hold down
“SPEED DOWN”
and
“ENTER”
for 5 seconds while the treadmill is in any state
of setting up a program. When in the User mode,

“SPEED”
and
“ELEVATION”
keys to scroll through the available data/functions. To select the data/function, press
“ENTER”

exit, press
“STOP”
. The units screen will appear when entering user engineering. If the units are correct press

P6 represents units, English or Metric. You can select this configuration for your Treadmill.

appears in the dot matrix. If it is

, the Treadmill is configured in English units (miles/mph);

represents
a Metric configuration (kilometers/kph). Press the
“SPEED”
arrows to toggle between English and Metric.
In order to save the modified value, press and hold
“ENTER”
. Note that changing units does affect the stored value
of weight and clears any stored user programs. Changing units may also require you to perform auto-calibration.
MAX TIME
P7 represents the maximum time, which is displayed in the upper right window. This is the maximum amount of time
the Treadmill will display. You can modify this time by using the
“SPEED”
or
“ELEVATION”
arrows. Press and hold
“ENTER”
to save the new value.
DEFAULT WEIGHT
P8 represents default weight. Weight appears in the upper left window. To modify weight, press the
“SPEED”
arrows.
To save the new default weight, press and hold
“ENTER”
prior to exiting. If Units is modified immediately prior, weight
defaults to 150 lbs. or 68 kg.
ACCUMULATED TIME
P9 represents accumulated time, in hours. To exit, press
“STOP”
. This information can not be modified.
ACCUMULATED DISTANCE
P10 represents accumulated distance, in either miles or kilometers. To exit, press
“STOP”
. This information can not
be modified.
PAUSE TIME
P14 represents the pause time, which is displayed in the upper right window. The default pause time is 5 minutes.
You can modify the pause time from 20 seconds to 10 minutes. You can modify this time by using the
“SPEED”
or
“ELEVATION”
arrows. Press and hold
“ENTER”
to save the new value.
DEFAULT TIME
P15 represents the program default time, which is displayed in the upper right window. Most programs have a default
time of 30 minutes. You can modify this time by using the
“SPEED”
or
“ELEVATION”

to save the new value.

DEFAULT AGE
P16 represents the default age, which is displayed in the upper left window. The Treadmill comes with the default age
of 40. You can modify the age by using the
“SPEED”
or
“ELEVATION”
arrows. Press and hold
“ENTER”
to save the
new value.
AUTO-CALIBRATION
DO NOT STAND ON THE BELT WHEN PERFORMING THE AUTO-CALIBRATION!
Auto-calibration is not represented by a Px designation.

. The treadmill will run through minimum and
maximum speed and maximum incline, this will take three to five minutes. Let the treadmill perform this complete function

will appear in the center window when the auto-calibration is complete. When auto-calibration is complete, it
will take about 30 seconds to return to the start-up screen with

DISABLE BEEP
P17 represents disable beep. The console has an audible beep that notifies the user when keys are pressed. To turn
off the beep.
SET LANGUAGE
P18 represents the set language function. To change language use the
“SPEED”
and
“ELEVATION”
arrows to select
the desired language. Press and hold
“ENTER”
to save the change.
ELEVATION ERRORS
P19 allows you to disable an elevation error. This will allow you to operate the treadmill without elevation.
EXIT USER ENGINEERING MODE
P20 represents exit mode. When you press
“ENTER”
to select the function, the console performs a reboot, returning
to program setup.
** SPECIAL NOTE
When treadmill is first set-up, auto-calibration can be bypassed by pressing
STOP
