Safety
The appliance must be installed according to the manufacturers instructions. Improper installation may result
in injury or damge, for which the manufacturer cannot be held responsible.
The electrical safety of this appiance is guaranteed only if it is connected to a properly earthed system which
complies with the electrical safety standards in force. If you cannot verify that this fundamental safety requirement
is in place, consult a qualied electrician. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for an appliance which has
not been correctly earthed.
• Check that the voltage (230VoltsAC) printed on the rating label inside the cooker hood corresponds to the
mains voltage in your home. If in doubt call a qualied electrician.
• Never replace the power supply cable yourself. Damaged cables must only be replaced by an authorised
service centre.
• Adaptors, multiple sockets and/or extension leads must not be used.
To avoid electrical shock, never touch the cooker hood or plug with wet hands.
Ventilation outlets on the cooker hood should never be covered, as obstructions may cause overheating or re.
• Always disconnect the plug from the mains supply before cleaning the cooker hood or carrying out
maintenance work.
• Do not ambé under the cooker hood as this may cause a re hazard.
• Avoid leaving a gas hob on when there is no pan on the stove.
There should be adequate ventilation of the room when the cooker hood is used at the same time as
appliances burning gas or fuel.
• Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fullled.
WARNING!
It is hazardous for anyone other than authorised service personnel to carry out servicing or repairs which involves
the removal of covers.
To avoid the risk of an electric shock do not attempt to repair this appliance yourself.
If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent , or similarly qualied
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Disposal
Old appliances still have some residual value. An environmentally friendly method of disposal will ensure that valu-
able raw materials can be recovered and used again. Up to date information concerning options for disposing of
your old appliance and packaging from the new one can be obtained from your local council oce.

Introducing Your New Cooker Hood
Before use
Please read these instructions carefully before using your new Logik Cooker Hood. The Cooker Hood is for indoor,
domestic use only.
WARNING: Please be carefully when unpacking and installing this appliance as sheet metal can cause injury if not
handled with care.

Install Your New Cooker Hood
Installation and electrical wiring must be carried out by a qualied engineer to ensure
all appliance codes and standards are followed. Before installing check that the
voltage indicated on the rating plate is suitable for your home.
Location
The Cooker Hood is designed to be a permanent xture in the home, therefore needs to be located in a place that
the lowest part of the hood will be set at least 70cm above the hob.
The Cooker Hood will need to be positioned with adequate ventilation directly over the cooker. The air that is
discharged from the Cooker Hood should NOT be ltered into a ue that is used for other appliances that use gas
or other fuels. Regulations concerning the discharge of air MUST be fullled.
IMPORTANT: The Cooker Hood ue MUST NOT be connected to a previously installed appliance i.e. water, heaters,
boilers or cooker. The Cooker Hood MUST have a separate ue and MUST NOT be installed above a cooker with
eye-level grills.
IMPORTANT: Easy access to the electrical socket must be maintained to ensure that you can carry out simple
maintenance.
Before plugging in YOU MUST
Check that you have a socket, which is compatible with the Cooker Hood.

Installation
Before beginning any installation work ensure the mains power has been turned o.
Extracted Air Installation
1. Using a Phillips screwdriver x the ducting
hose connector onto the air outlet of the hood.
2. Connect the hose (not supplied) to
the air duct. Use the adaptor provided to
connect to a 125mm hose (not supplied).

3. The ducting can pass through your wall to the outside.
Stencil
Use the stencil provided to help position the hood onto the wall directly below the ducting.
NOTE: Take extreme care when drilling holes into your wall to avoid hidden electrical wiring.
1. With the stencil positioned on the wall, drill
4 holes onto the back wall. Push 4 raw plugs into
the drill holes and partially screw in the top 2
screws. (leaving 10mm unscrew)
2. Fix the hood onto the wall by positioning
the upper 2 screws through the key holes
on the back of the hood.
3. Attach the lower part of the hood by removing the lter panels to gain access to the lower safety screw holes.
Attaching the Chimney ue wall bracket
1. Using the wall bracket as a template, drill 2 holes into the wall and push raw plugs into the drill holes.
2. Place the wall bracket over the raw plugs
and screw into position.
3. Screw the inner chimney ue section to the
wall bracket by ST 4X10 screw.

Adjusting the telescopic hood
The telescopic chimney ue can be adjusted in height to t your ceiling once fully attached to the wall.
Re-Circulation using Carbon lters
Two carbon lters (not supplied) can also be added to your Cooker Hood, when air is to be re-circulated instead of
external ducting. Attach to either side of the motor. Please see Partmaster Direct details on the back cover to order
them - for UK only. (2 carbon lters required)

Align the rib in lter with the slot in fan guard.
Slide the lter in position.
The lter is locked.
Press the knob to release the lter.
Take out the lter.
In Use
Control panel
0 = Switches the Cooker Hood o.
1 = Low speed. Is suitable when low levels of steam are created whilst cooking.
2 = Medium speed.
3 = High speed. Is suitable when high levels of steam are created whilst cooking.
= Switches the overhead light on.
The Cooker Hood should be left on for at least 15 minutes after cooking has nished to ensure ecient
ltering of the air.

Cleaning
Regular cleaning will help to maintain the eectiveness of your Cooker Hood.
1. Switch o and unplug the Cooker Hood before cleaning.
2. Clean the inside and outside of the Cooker Hood with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
NOTE: Do not use solvents or abrasives as this may damage the Cooker Hood.
Warning: Your Cooker Hood can become a re risk if it is not cleaned correctly
Please be careful when cleaning this appliance as sheet metal can cause injury if not handled with case.
Cleaning the lters
To ensure the lters do not become a re hazard we recommend they are washed every 3 months. Do not check the
lter panels whilst the Cooker Hood is in use.
1. Before cleaning the lters always switch o and disconnect the electrical supply.
2. Remove the lter panels by holding down the buttons on each panel and lifting towards you. They can then
be taken out of the cooker hood.
3. Wash each lter in warm water and a mild detergent, leave to soak and drain. Ensure it is completely dry
before replacing into the Cooker Hood.
4. Place the bottom of each panel into the back of the Cooker Hood and raise the top to click into position.
NOTE: The lter panels are also dishwasher proof. The lter panels may alter in colour slightly after several washes,
this is not a fault.

Changing the internal light
Allow the Cooker hood to cool for at least 30 minutes after use before changing the light bulb.
1. Before carrying out the bulb replacement always switch o and disconnect the electrical supply.
2. Remove the removable lters by holding down the buttons on each panel and lifting towards you.
They can then be taken out of the Cooker hood.
3. Remove the old bulb by unscrewing it in an anti-clockwise direction.
4. Replace with a new bulb (maximum 40w) by screwing it in a clockwise direction.
Make sure that it is secure in the bulb holder (your cooker hood is tted with 2x 40w bulbs).
5. Replace the lters.
The Cooker hood is not working
• Check it is plugged in and switched on.
• Check that the fuse in the plug has not blown.
• Plug in another appliance, such as a lamp, to see if the socket is working.
Servicing
Only an authorised, qualied technician should perform repairs and maintenance of the appliance.
