General Informaon:
1. Unwrap the radiator
• Installaon in Closed Loop—Hot Water Systems Only.
• Max Operang Temperature: 250°F
• NOT for use in Steam Systems.
• The radiator may be mounted so the supply/return connecons can be on the boom right or boom le.
• All supplied ngs have an o-ring gasket seal. They do NOT require addional thread sealant or tape.
CAUTION: Only the supplied (or other Penso approved) ngs should be used to connect the radiator. Using any
other ngs / pipe connecons could result in water leaking and/or home damage. Penso is NOT liable for damages
caused by unapproved ngs and/or improper installaon of supplied ngs.

Make note of the installaon locaon for the
thermostac insert and air vent
Carefully turn the radiator upside down so the top
grill is on the oor
Cut the plasc wrap across the boom side of the
radiator. This will minimize potenal damage.
Remove the plasc wrap and cardboard end caps
from the radiator. Turn the radiator right side up.
Note: Inspect the radiator for possible shipping damage
NOTE: For informaon or quesons outside
the scope of this manual contact a qualied
heang professional for assistance.

2. Install the Thermostac Valve - Bag A
The Thermostac valve is
installed in the top corner
of the radiator directly
above the supply / return.
Once this locaon is
veried, the
Thermostac Valve
can be inserted.
Hand ghten the
valve turning
clockwise unl ght.
Snug the valve using a
19mm (3/4”) wrench.
Do NOT overghten.
Hand ghten the air
vent turning
clockwise unl ght.
Snug the air vent using a
22mm (7/8”) wrench.
Do NOT overghten.
3. Install the Manual Air Vent - Bag B
The Manual Air Vent will
be installed in the top
corner opposite the
Thermostac Valve.
Turn the radiator around.
4. Install Reducers - Bag D and ghten end plugs
Flip the radiator over.
Remove the protecve
blue inserts. Insert the (2)
reducers into the boom
supply / return tapings.
Hand ghten the
reducers turning
clockwise unl ght.
Snug the reducers using
a 12mm (15/32”) allen
wrench.
Do NOT overghten.
Snug the chrome plugs in the
lower side tapings on each
end of the radiator using a
22mm (7/8”) wrench.
Do NOT overghten.

Unpack the radiator brackets. For wood stud mounng, use the lag bolts provided (or equivalent).
5. Hang Mounng Brackets - Bag C
Hang the mounng brackets from the top slot.
Make sure the brackets are plumb and mark the
lower mounng hole.
Mark the locaon of the TOP slot on the mounng
brackets. Note: The boom of the installed radiator
should be mounted a minimum of 4” above the oor.
Note: For the most secure installaon BOTH radiator brackets should be mounted onto wall studs. If not
possible, at least 1 bracket MUST be mounted onto a wall stud and the second bracket must be mounted in
drywall using “toggle” style anchors (not provided). For any other wall material, mounng hardware suitable
to support FILLED radiator weight must be used (selected at the discreon of the installer).
Installaon of 1 bracket is shown. The steps are the same for both brackets.
Mounng brackets should be installed so they will support the weight of the lled radiator evenly. Make
sure both brackets are level to each other when installaon is complete.
TOP
BOTTOM
Drill an appropriate pilot hole for the mounng hardware
selected. Insert the upper mounng bolt and ghten with
a wrench ll bolt head is about 3/4” from wall.

Grip the bracket in one hand. With the other hand
grip the white plasc tab at the top of the bracket.
Hang the bracket on the two mounng bolts
Pull the white tab forward and slide the top clamp
upward to raise the clamp to its highest point.
5. Hang Mounng Brackets Cont.
Remove the mounng bracket and drill an appropriate
pilot hole for the lower mounng bracket bolt.
Insert the lower mounng bolt and ghten with a
wrench ll bolt head is about 3/4” from wall.
Tighten the bolts with a wrench unl bracket is secure.

6. Mount The Radiator
Set the boom rear of the radiator in the grove at the
boom or each bracket and lt the radiator ll vercal
Slide the top clamp down ghtly onto the radiator.
The ngers of the clamp should t between grills.
Note: These radiators can be mounted so the supply / return
connecons are located on the boom right-hand side of the radiator
(as shown in the rough-in dimension illustraon) OR on the boom
le-hand side of the radiator. In either mounng conguraon the
SUPPLY connecon is ALWAYS located closest to the MIDDLE of the
radiator and the RETURN connecon is ALWAYS located closest to
the SIDE of the radiator.
If supply / return piping will be through the oor, It is best to
drill those holes prior to mounng the radiator. Use the rough-in
dimension illustraon for proper locaon. Once the supply / return
holes are made in the correct locaon, proceed to the steps below.
Align the Thermostac Valve Knob with the valve.
Do NOT allow the knob to cross-thread.
7. Install Thermostac Knob
Turn the knob onto the Thermostac Valve by turning
clockwise. Inially only turn the knob 1/2 to 1 turn.
Note: This knob provides manual ow control to the radiator. Tightening the knob will restrict ow. If it is
ghtened completely all ow to the radiator will be stopped. Once the radiator is lled this knob can be used
to adjust the ow to the desired seng.

Tighten the
compression nut with
an adjustable wrench
unl snug. Aer the
radiator is lled and
heated, verify ALL
ngs are ght and
no water leaks.
9. 1/2” Copper Pipe Connecons - Bag F
Note: These instrucons show how to install supply / return piping from the oor. For alternate installaon
opons, see the full installaon manual. Bring rough piping up about 1 1/2” from the reducer ng on the
boom of the radiator.
Slide the large nickel
compression nut over
the pipe with the
open thread end
facing up.
Slide the copper split
compression ring over
the pipe with the
rubber poron facing
up. Unl it is fully
engaged with the
copper pipe.
Slide the pipe up unl
the rubber
compression ng
completely engages
with the reducer.
Slide the
compression nut up
the pipe and thread
it onto the reducer
by turning it
clockwise.
Slide the large nickel
compression nut over
the pipe with the
open thread end
facing up. Slide the
split compression ring
over the pipe.
8. 1/2” Pex Pipe Connecons - Bag E
Note: These instrucons show how to install supply / return piping from the oor. For alternate installaon
opons, see the full installaon manual. Bring rough piping up about 1 1/2” from the reducer ng on the
boom of the radiator.
Tighten the
compression nut
with an adjustable
wrench unl snug.
Aer radiator is lled
and heated, verify
ALL ngs are ght
and no water leaks.
Insert the barbed
compression ng
into the pipe unl
the shoulder rests on
the end of the pipe.
Slide the pipe up unl
the compression
ng completely
engages with the
reducer.
Slide the
compression nut up
the pipe and thread
it onto the reducer
by turning it
clockwise.

Slide the escutcheon plate
around the pipe with the at
side facing up and the edge
ridge facing down.
10. White Escutcheon Installaon - Bag G
Note: These instrucons show the supply pipe with escutcheon and rad snap already installed for reference.
The same process is used for both pipes.
Slide the pipe slot cover into
the channel in the escutcheon
plate unl it clicks into place.
11. Installaon of White Radsnap Pipe Covers
Note: Measure and cut the radsnap pipe covers to the correct length to t between the compression nut
and the escutcheon plate. This can be done carefully with scissors or with a sharp razor.
Spread the seam of the
radsnap and slide the opening
over the pipe.
If desired, the escutcheon can
be rotated so the slot cover
faces to toward the wall.
Once over the pipe, release
the ends and the radsnap will
automacally close to cover
the pipe.
Make Radsnap seam faces
toward the wall.

Rotate the white poron of the air vent unl the
small vent hole points down.
12. Vent Air From The Radiator
Note: Once the radiator is piped and the supply / return piping is connected to the heang system, the
radiator can be lled with water.
Helpful Hint: When possible, have two people present to ll the radiator. One to open necessary system
valves and one to verify there are NO leaks at the radiator.
CAUTION: When radiators are connected to an acve heang system, water vented through the air vent
may be EXTREMELY HOT. Cauon should be taken to avoid direct contact with the vented water.
Open any valves which may be isolang the radiator and ensure the thermostac valve knob is open
(loosened unl it almost comes o)
Locate the small vent hole in the side of the white
plasc poron of the air vent.
Once all air escapes and a steady stream of water
ows from the vent, rotate clockwise unl the
ow of water stops and the vent is ght.
Hold a cup or other suitable container under the
vent. Insert a at screwdriver into the chrome
sloed nut on the vent.
Rotate counter-clockwise 1 to 2 turns unl air can
be heard escaping the radiator.
• Once the radiator is lled, verify ALL ngs (thermostac valve, air vent, side
plugs, pipe connecons, etc.) are ght and no water is leaking.
• Allow the radiator to heat and recheck ALL ngs again.
• Installaon is complete.
