conditions exist, replace hose immediately. Never
repair high pressure hose. Replace it with another
hose that meets minimum pressure rating of your
pressure washer.
Store in a clean, dry area. Ideally, the unit should be
stored in a frost-free room.
Servicing of a Double Insulated Product.
In a double-insulated product, two systems of insula-
tion are provided instead of grounding. No means of
grounding is provided on a double-insulated product,
nor should a means for grounding be added.
Servicing a double-insulated product requires extreme
care and knowledge of the system and should be
done only by qualified service personnel. Replace-
ment parts for a double-insulated product must be
identical to the parts they replace. Use only genuine

tion, keep ALL connections dry and off the
ground. DO NOT touch plug with wet
hands.
We do not recommend that you use extension
cords with this pressure washer. If, however, your
application requires that you need an extension
cord, use only extension cords that are approved for
outside use. These extension cords are identified by
a marking ACCEPTABLE FOR USE WITH OUT-
DOOR APPLIANCES; STORE INDOORS WHILE
NOT IN USE. Use only extension cords having an
electrical rating not less than the rating of the prod-
uct. Do not use damaged extension cords.

NOTE: Behind the trigger to the gun is a SAFETY
LATCH. You can place this latch as shown in Figure 7
to keep the washer from accidentally spraying while
you are changing the nozzle head or foamer or per-
forming other tasks.
STOPPING YOUR PRESSURE
WASHER

ger.
DANGER: Releasing the trigger will shut
off the motor but does not shut off the
unit. You must also place the Master
On/Off Switch to the OFF position.
Place Master On/Off switch in Off position.
Simply shutting OFF motor will not release pres-
sure in the system. Squeeze the trigger on the gun
to relieve the pressure in the hose.
DANGER: Never leave your pressure
washer unattended even when turned off.
HOW TO USE YOUR WASHER
You now should know how to START your pressure
washer and how to STOP it. The information in this
section will tell you how to adjust the spray pattern
and apply detergent or any other cleaning chemicals.
HOW TO USE ADJUSTABLE NOZZLE
DANGER: Never adjust spray pattern when
spraying. Never put hands in front of spray
nozzle to adjust spray pattern. You could
be injured.
On the end of your spray gun is a nozzle that you can
twist from side to side. With the adjustable nozzle you
can adjust the spray configuration to be either concen-
trated in a stream or expanded into a fan pattern.
Twist nozzle counterclockwise when you wish to
produce an expanded stream. Twist nozzle clock-
wise to produce a narrow, concentrated stream
(Figure 8).

Point the nozzle toward the ground and press the
trigger to test the pattern.
For most effective cleaning, keep spray nozzle
between 8 to 24 inches of cleaning surface.
If you get the spray nozzle too close, especially
using high pressure mode, you may damage the
cleaning surface.
Do not get closer than 6 inches when cleaning auto-
mobile tires.
Applying Detergent With Foamer
IMPORTANT: Use soaps designed specifically for
pressure washers. Household detergents could
damage the pump.
NOTE: Never use garden hose inlet to siphon deter-
gent or wax.
DANGER: You MUST attach all hoses and the spray
gun before you start the motor.
WARNING: Before removing any spray gun
extension, be sure to turn off the pressure
washer and relieve pressure by pressing
the trigger. You could be injured if you try
to remove an extension if the pressure
washer is running and there is pressure in
the system.
Pressure washers are useful cleaning tools designed
to clean almost any surface in two easy steps.
The first step involves applying an appropriate
detergent/solvent solution to penetrate and loosen
grime. The detergent is applied at low pressure to
avoid splashing, overspraying and waste. Leave the
solution on surface for 3 to 5 minutes to allow solu-
tion to work.
The second step involves cleaning the surface you
have prepared with the pressure washer and then
rinsing it clean.
To apply detergent follow these steps:
Detach the nozzle extension by pushing in and
unlocking it counterclockwise.
Remove the bottle from the foamer.
Align the locking tabs on the foamer with the groves
in the gun. Push inward and twist clockwise to lock
in place. (Note: make sure that the when you lock
the foamer into place you have the hose that con-
nects to the foamer bottle hanging downward.)
Prepare your detergent solution as required by your
job and fill bottle with the solution.
Attach bottle back onto foamer making sure the
bottle hangs down.
Start washer and apply detergent to a dry surface,
starting from the bottom and working up.
To rinse, YOU MUST, stop the pressure washer,
remove the foamer and connect the adjustable
nozzle extension.
NOTE: Detergents are most effective applied to a dry
surface.
To Clean
Start at lower portion of area to be washed and work
upward, using long, even overlapping strokes. Deter-
gent or degreaser works best when you apply it to a
dry surface first. Let it set for 3-5 minutes before
washing and rinsing.

Rinse
Start at the top of area to be rinsed, working down
with the same action as for cleaning.
How to Use the Rotating and Utility
Brushes
The rotating and utility brushes allow you to scrub
surfaces with water filtering through the bristles.
To attach a brush to the gun:
Attach the bayonet adapter to the base of the
brush. Tighten.
Remove the adjustable nozzle lance from the gun if
attached.
Attach the brush with the bayonet adapter to the
spray gun by aligning the locking tabs on the
adapter with the grooves in the gun. Push the brush
inward and twist clockwise to lock in place.
Note: You must use the bayonet adapter to attach the
brush to the gun.
How to Use the Turbo Nozzle
The turbo nozzle, in essence, expands the area of the
high pressure stream. Use this nozzle when a large
area needs to be cleaned with the high pressure
stream.
To attach the turbo nozzle:
Remove the adjustable nozzle from the lance.
Attach the turbo nozzle to the lance.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
AND MAINTENANCE
The warranty of the high pressure washer does not
cover items that have been subjected to operator
abuse or negligence. To receive full value from the
warranty, operator must maintain high pressure
washer as instructed in this manual.
BEFORE EACH USE
Check and Clean Quick-Connect
Screen
Remove quick-connect and examine the inlet screen
on the female connector. Clean if clogged or replace
the quick-connect inlet screen if damaged.
Check High Pressure Hose
DANGER: Water spraying from a leak is
capable of injecting material into skin.
Inspect hose each time before using it.
Never repair high pressure hose. Replace it
with another hose that meets minimum
pressure rating of your pressure washer.
High pressure hose can develop leaks from wear,
kinking, and abuse. Check all hoses for cuts, leaks,
abrasions or bulging of cover, or damage or move-
ment of couplings. If any of these conditions exist,
replace hose immediately.
Check Gun and Wand
Examine hose connection and make sure it is secure.
Test trigger by pressing it and making sure it springs
back into place when released. Put safety latch in ON
position and test trigger. You should not be able to
press trigger.
PURGE PUMP OF AIR AND
CONTAMINANTS
To remove the air from the pump, follow these
steps:
Set up the pressure washer as described in the
ASSEMBLY section and connect the water supply.
Remove the nozzle lance from the gun.
Pull the trigger on the gun and hold.
To remove the contaminant from the pump, follow
these steps:
Set up the pressure washer as described in the
ASSEMBLY section, connect the water supply and
start the pressure washer according to instructions
in the OPERATION section.
Remove the nozzle lance from the gun.
Pull the trigger on the gun and hold.
When the water supply is steady and constant, you
may refasten the nozzle attachment and start the
pump.
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
If the nozzle becomes restricted or clogged with for-
eign materials, such as dirt, excessive pump pressure
may develop. A partially clogged nozzle can cause a
pulsing sensation during use. This generally is not a
pump related problem, but rather a clogged or par-
tially restricted nozzle.
If the nozzle becomes clogged or partially restricted,
immediately clean the nozzle with the kit included with
your pressure washer by following these instructions:
Shut off the washer and turn off the water supply.
Separate the nozzle extension from the gun.
Open the adjustable nozzle to the narrow stream
setting.
Remove the nozzle using the allen wrench provided
in the kit.
Use the wire included in the kit (Figure 11) or a
small paper clip to free the foreign materials clog-
ging or restricting the nozzle.
Remove additional debris by back flushing water
supply through wand (Figure 12). Back flush
between 30 to 60 seconds. Turn wand to stream
spray while flushing.
Reinstall the nozzle. Do not overtighten.
Reconnect the wand to the gun.
Reconnect the water supply, turn on the water, and
start the washer.
Test the pressure washer by operating with nozzle
in narrow and expanded streams.
PREPARING THE UNIT FOR
STORAGE
Water should not remain in the unit for long periods of
time. Sediments of minerals can deposit on pump
parts and freeze pump action. If you do not plan to
use the Pressure Washer for more than 30 days,
follow this procedure:
1. Shut off the pressure washer, unplug it and let it
cool, then remove all hoses.
2. Store the pressure washer and its components in
such a way as to protect it from freezing.
5. Store in a clean, dry area. Ideally, the unit should
be stored in a frost-free room.
6. Coil the high pressure hose and inspect it for
damage. Cuts in the hose or fraying of it could result
in leaks and loss of pressure. Should any damage be
found, replace the hose. DO NOT attempt to repair a
damaged hose. Replace the hose with the genuine
Generac part.
7. Drain water from hose and properly store it to pre-
vent cuts and general wear.
