EXC-500 Microscope Series

2x Diffuser Supplement

2x Diffuser (Swing-in, bayonet mount) for the EXC500 Microscope, Part # 500-3222-2x

This component may be required with some combinations of video cameras, c-mounts and monitors.

This component is comprised of two flanges; a semi-permanent

mounting flange and a swing-in diffuser. The lower flange has a four-

tooth bayonet arrangement. Placing it on the light port as shown

below will allow it to seat down onto the light port.

Next the assembly is rotated 45 degrees. This will engage the

bayonet teeth. When correctly installed, the thumb screw on the lower

flange should face 3 o’clock. Lightly tighten the thumb screw.

To temporarily remove the diffuser from the light path swing the upper

flange CCW.
