Severe personal injury could result if hands
or fingers are caught between the follower
plate and container. Keep hands clear of
this area.
Do not open the bleed valve (10) more than
three turns. The bleed valve and material
may be forced from the valve body.

How to Change a
Container
See Figure 1.
1. Set the air motor lockout valve (1) to Off.
2. Place the elevator control valve (5) in Neutral.
3. Perform the following:
a. Remove the bleeder stem (11) from the
bleeder stem fitting (9).
b. Connect the blow-off tube (12) to the
bleeder stem fitting (9).
c. Connect the blow-off air line (13) to the
blow-off tube (12).
4. Press and hold the material container blow-off
button (4).
5. While continuing to hold the material container
blow-off button (4), place the elevator control
valve (5) in Ram Up. If the container begins to
rise off the unloader frame (8), place the
elevator control valve in Neutral to allow the
container to return to the frame. Then, place
the elevator control valve in Ram Up.
6. Release the material container blow-off
button (4) once the follower has exited the
material container.
7. Raise the elevator until it reaches its maximum
height, clear of the container.

8. Remove the old container. Center a new,
undamaged container underneath
the follower plate (6).
9. Coat the follower plate seals (7) with a
compatible lubricant, if required.
10. Disconnect the blow-off air line (13) from the
blow-off tube (12).
11. Remove the blow-off tube (12) from the bleeder
stem fitting (9).
12. Press the reset/purge button (3). Then, place
the elevator control valve (5) in Ram Down to
apply downward force to the elevator.
13. Allow air to bleed from the bleeder stem fitting
as the follower plate (6) moves downward.
When material starts to continuously flow from
the bleeder stem fitting (9), place the elevator
control valve (5) in Neutral.
14. Install the bleeder stem (11) and wipe excess
material.
