3 What you have to supply
You have to supply all the material necessary to install the ReliaSENS unit in place.
For example, if you have to install the ReliaSENS on a pole, you will need two suitable stainless steel band
clamps.
The band clamps must conserve their integrity throughout the lifecycle of the ReliaSENS, even if exposed to
extreme weather conditions. Each band clamp must be able to withstand wind forces, the weight of the
ReliaSENS and the weight of the cables for a total amount of around 37 Kg. If an accidental breakage of one of
the band clamp occurs, the other band clamp must be able to safely hold the ReliaSENS in place.

4 ReliaSENS description
The ReliaSENS is a compact and easy to install environment monitoring system provided with Ethernet and Wi-Fi
connectivity.
It analyses air quality parameters, electromagnetic fields, and ionizing radiation levels. Then, using the integrated
Eurotech Cloud technology, sends the acquired data to the Cloud.
The ReliaSENS offers you a user-friendly web interface and a mobile app (ReliaSENS, available on Google Play
Store and App Store) compatible with Android and iOS, that enables immediate data access through PCs, tablets
and smartphones.
You can set thresholds and configure the ReliaSENS to send alerts and generate data logs automatically.
You can easily export data and integrate them with existing IT systems to perform statistical analyses and to
identify spatial and time patterns related to pollutant generation and propagation.

6 Install the ReliaSENS
This operation must be carried out by authorized personnel, observing all applicable safety rules. When
applicable, the operator must have the appropriate license for working at the installation height.
The ReliaSENS must be installed at a height of 3 meters or more, for example on a pole, and would not normally
be accessible to people.
The ReliaSENS must be installed by using two suitable stainless steel band clamps (not provided). These band
clamps must conserve their integrity throughout the lifecycle of the ReliaSENS, even if exposed to extreme
weather conditions. Each band clamp must be able to withstand wind forces, the weight of the ReliaSENS and
the weight of the cables for a total amount of around 37 Kg. If an accidental breakage of one of the band clamp
occurs, the other band clamp must be able to safely hold the ReliaSENS in place.
Install the ReliaSENS in such a way that it is protected from lightning strikes. If required, a lightning rod should be
installed in close proximity to the ReliaSENS.
The minimum distance from the human body to which the device complies with the European requirements on
human exposure to electromagnetic fields (Council Recommendation 1999/519/EC) is 8.5 cm.

8.1 Using a wired LAN connection in DHCP
Your ReliaSENS is already configured to automatically connect to the Eurotech Cloud platform - Everyware
Cloud (EC).
The connection has to be made through a wired Ethernet connection in DHCP to a LAN.
1. Using the Ethernet cable of the cable kit, connect the ReliaSENS to your LAN that has to be configured for
DHCP. If your network requires the use of a static IP address, please refer to the corresponding Section.
2. On your network, no firewall should be present on ports 1883 and 8883.
3. Power on your ReliaSENS
4. Wait about 5 minutes, in order for the ReliaSENS to establish the connection with the Eurotech Cloud
platform.
5. From a PC, access the ReliaSENS web application: http://reliasens.everyware-cloud.com
(To receive your username and password, please refer to your Eurotech sales representative).
