transfer music and other media to your phone
1.
With a memory card inserted and your
phone in the home screen, connect
your phone and PC using a USB cable.
On your phone, press Yes to connect
your phone as a storage device.
2.
Use the My Computer window to find
Removable Device.
Drag and drop files such as music from your
PC to your phone’s memory card.
3.
When finished, remove the phone from
your PC by using the Safely Remove
Hardware icon at the bottom of your PC
screen. Then disconnect the USB cable.
play music on your phone
1.
On the home screen, press [.
The music player supports AAC, AAC+.
eAAC+, MIDI, MP3, RA, WAV, and
WMA music file types.
2.
In the music library, select a song or All
Songs and press Play.
To control music:
|| pause or f play
z next song; hold for fast forward
x previous song; hold for rewind.
3.
Play music with your phone closed! Touch
keys on the cover let you control the
music.
Tip: Press the
side music key
to start music
with the phone
closed.
Tips:
If you receive a call while music is
playing, the music pauses until the
call is over.
To turn off the music player, press P.
To set autorepeat, shuffle, equalizer,
visualization, 3D stereo, or bass boost
press Options > Sound Setup from
the music player.
More Tips:
To switch between music stored on the
memory card and music stored on your
phone memory, press [ > s > Switch
Storage Devices.
To “hide” the music player and use other
phone features while music plays, press
Back.
use the FM radio
1.
Insert a 3.5 mm headset into your
phone.
Note: The FM radio works only
when the headset is plugged in.
2.
Press s > Multimedia > FM Radio.
To tune in a station, press
S left or right.
To scan stations, press & hold
S left or
right.
To adjust volume, press
S up or down.
To turn radio off, unplug headset.
To play the radio through the speaker or
headset, press *.
3.
To set radio presets:
Tune in a station, then press and hold a
number 1-9.
To play a preset station, press its number.
Tip: To “hide” the radio and use other
phone features while the radio plays,
press Back.
FM radio tips:
Play the radio with the flip closed. Use x and z tune in a station. Use y to turn the radio on and off.
To record FM radio clips, press Options > Record. Press Stop to stop recording. Clips are stored in phone memory.
To play clips, from main menu press Multimedia > Sounds > clip > Play.
To use FM radio as an alarm, from main menu press Extras (or Office Tools) > Alarm Clock > New Alarm. Set Alert to
Radio.
To use FM radio clip as an alarm, set Alert to Ring or Vibrate and Ring > Preloaded and downloaded media files > clip.
To share favorite FM stations with friends, press Options > Send Station Info > SMS/EMS or MMS > OK. Select recipient,
press Add, then press Send.
use SongID
This feature is network, SIM card, or subscription dependent and may not be available in all areas.
Contact your service provider for more information.
The optional Song ID feature identifies commercially recorded songs.

Press s > Multimedia > SongID, then
place your phone near the music
speaker and press Listen.
2.
SongID listens and analyzes.
3.
If the song is found, the artist and song
title display. If prompted, you can buy the
song.
connect your phone to a Bluetooth
®
device
1.
From the home screen, press s >
Settings > Bluetooth Link > Audio
Devices. If Bluetooth is off, you are
prompted to turn it on.
2.
Select Look for Device, then scroll to the
device you want to connect to and press
s.
3.
If prompted, enter the passcode (0000 or
1234 for Motorola Bluetooth devices) and
press Ok.
Tips:
A Bluetooth indicator appears in the top
status bar when you’re connected.
To disconnect, turn off the device.
Once you’ve paired to a Bluetooth
device, for the first time, it’s easy to
reconnect. Just turn on the device and
you’re connected.
More Tips:
If you have trouble reconnecting to a
device you have used before, make
sure your phone’s Bluetooth power is
turned on. From the home screen,
press s > Settings > Bluetooth Link
> Setup > Power > On.
To extend your phone’s battery life, turn
off Bluetooth power on your phone
when you’re not using a Bluetooth
device.

You can save up to 1000 contacts!
1.
To save a contact:
On the home screen, enter the number
and press Store.
2.
Enter contact details. Use Store To to store
contacts on your SIM card or your phone.
Contacts stored on SIM card only have a
name and phone number.
When you are
finished press Done.
3.
To call a contact:
On the main menu, press Contacts.
4.
Select the contact and press N.
Tip: To find contacts in the list, enter the
first few letters of the contact.
Tips:
To edit a contact, press Contacts, scroll to
the contact, then press s > Edit.
To reorder your contact list press
Contacts, press s > Setup > Sorting by.
To assign a ringtone or picture to a contact
stored on your phone, press Contacts,
scroll to the contact, then press s > Edit.
Scroll to Sound or Picture and select
Change.
More Tips:
To call a contact using the speed
dial number, press and hold the
corresponding number, 1-9.
To copy SIM contacts to phone
memory, press Contacts, press s
> Copy > All to phone.
send and receive a text message
Your phone can store up to 750 SMS messages!
1.
To send a text message
On the home screen, press s>
Messages. Scroll to Create and press
Select.
2.
Select the message type: SMS/EMS or
MMS.
3.
Enter your message and press OK.
Tip: In the text entry screen, press # to
switch text modes.
4.
Scroll to the recipient(s) and press Add.
Press Send to send the message.
5.
To receive a text message
Press Read to read a message
immediately. Or, press Exit and view it
later in your inbox. Press s> Messages
> Inbox.

1.
To take and send a photo
Press s> Multimedia > Camera.
Press  or à to zoom.
Press À or Á to change brightness.
Press s to view more picture options.
2.
Press Capture to take the photo.
Tip: To switch
between pictures
stored on the
memory card and
pictures stored on
your phone memory,
press s > Switch
Storage Devices.
3.
Press Store > Send In Message to send
the photo in a message.
Tip: To view your
photos, press s >
Multimedia >
Pictures.

To record and send a video
Press s> Multimedia > Video Camera.
Tip: Press Options >
Video Camera Setup
to set video length,
quality, and sound.
5.
Press s to start recording. Press Stop to
stop recording.
Tip: To switch
between videos
stored on the memory
card and videos
stored on your phone
memory, press
Options > Switch
Storage Devices.
6.
Press Save or Send to send your video
in a message or using Bluetooth.

videos, press s >
Multimedia >
Videos.

1.
To create home screen shortcuts, press
s> Personalise > Home Screen >
Home Keys.
Select Up, Down, Left, Right, or a soft
key and press Change. Select the
feature you want to assign.
2.
To change the order of the main menu,
press s> Personalise > Main Menu >
Reorder. Scroll to the item you want to
move and press Grab. Then scroll to the
destination location and press Insert >
Done.
3.
To change the wallpaper or screen saver,
press s> Personalise > Wallpaper or
Screen Saver.
4.
To personalize your ring style, press s> Settings > Ring Style > Style.
Scroll to the style, press s > Back. Select style Detail, and customize the rings.

WebAccess > Start Browser.
