When using electrical appliances, basic safety precauons should always be
followed, including the following:

controller in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near

5. Unplug from electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to
cool before pung on or taking o parts, and before cleaning.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or aer the

10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electrical burner or in a heated oven.
11. Extreme CAUTION must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil
or or other hot liquids.
12. Always aach plug to appliance rst, then plug cord in the wall outlet. To
disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then remove plug from wall outlet.
13. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
14. Always place appliance on a at and stable surface.
15. While in use, keep appliance out of the reach of babies and children.
16. Do not leave appliance unaended while in use.

Polarized Plug: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce risk of electric shock, plug is intended to t into polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it sll
does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not try to modify the plug in any way.
Short Cord Instrucons: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk
resulng from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords
may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used, the marked
electrical rang of the cord should be at least as great as the electrical rang of the
appliance. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintenonally.

How to assemble your electric skillet
Remove all parts from the packaging.
1. Locate and remove Lid Knob in packaging.
2. Place the screw through center hole of lid. The head of screw to inside of lid.
3. Place Protector Ring over screw threads on the outside of lid. Rough side of ring
facing glass.
4. Turn Lid Knob onto screw thread while pressing on head of screw.
5. Tighten screw unl snug. Do not overghten. The Lid is now ready for use.
Before rst use
Before using the appliance, READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Wipe down the
appliance with a so damp cloth and make sure there is no metal or foreign objects
on the temperature control. Wipe dry with so cloth.
Operaon
1. Place appliance on a at, heat resistant, stable surface in a well venlated area.
2. Make sure the temperature controller is in OFF posion. Insert control into inlet
on the side of skillet. Then insert plug into electrical outlet.
3. Adjust controller to desired seng. NOTE: The signal light on controller
indicates heat seng. When desired seng is reached, the light will turn o.
It will connue to cycle on and o during use to indicate heat seng is being
automacally maintained.
4. Preheat the skillet with the lid on for 10 minutes or unl the indicator light goes out.
NOTE: The cooking temperatures listed in this user manual are esmates. Adjust the
cooking temperature slightly up or down to achieve the results you prefer.
5. A steam vent is located on the Glass Lid. The steam vent allows steam to escape
while cooking with the lid in place. CAUTION: Escaping steam is hot! Be careful
when removing or liing lid. Oven mis are recommended when removing cover
from skillet base or when replacing it.

6. Place food directly onto cooking surface and cook to desired doneness.
7. When nished cooking, turn controller to OFF and remove plug from power
outlet.IMPORTANT: To avoid injury wait unl the appliance has cooled before
removing the temperature controller.
NOTE: If heang oil, always leave the lid o. If oil smokes, immediately turn skillet
“OFF” and allow to cool.
Care and Cleaning Instrucons
1. Turn temperature controller to OFF and unplug cord from power outlet.
2. Always allow grill to cool completely before cleaning and removing temperature
controller.
3. Remove the temperature controller from unit and wipe clean with a dry towel.
NEVER IMMERSE TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUID.
4. Allow base to cool completely before cleaning. Absorb any excess water or grease
from base with a paper towel.
5. Immerse the skillet and lid in warm, soapy water and wash with a so cloth. Rinse
well and dry. All parts, except the temperature controller, are fully immersible and
dishwasher safe.
6. NOTE: Do Not use steel wool, abrasive cleaners, or metal scouring pads on
cooking surfaces as this will damage the non-sck coang.
Cooking Tips
Before using the skillet for the rst me, lightly brush cooking surface with
vegetable oil. Heat, uncovered, to 300°F. Turn“OFF” and cool completely. Wipe
away excess oil.
Metal utensils may scratch the non-sck surface.
This skillet is not designed to deep fry. To pan-fry, do not use more than 1 cup of
oil. Select a vegetable oil or peanut oil for frying. Buer and olive oil should only
be used to sauté foods on a lower temperature seng.

This appliance is warranted for one year from date of original purchase against
defects in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover transportaon
damage, misuse, accident or similar incident. This warranty gives you specic legal
rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. This product
is intended for household use only, not for commercial use. Warranty does not
cover commercial use.

Any aempt to interfere with the operaon of these safety features makes this
warranty null and void. In the event we receive an appliance for service that has
been tampered with, we reserve the right to restore it to its original state and
charge for the repair.

Street, Two Rivers, Wisconsin 54241, for no-charge repair or replacement at our
opon.
Must include proof of purchase or copy of original bill of sale when returning
product for warranty service.
Please call Customer Sasfacon at 1-800-288-4545 to obtain a Return
Authorizaon before shipping.
For service in warranty, follow instrucons set forth in warranty. When ordering
new parts, make sure that you always menon the model number of the
product.
Call us on our toll free number, 1-800-288-4545 and tell us about your problem.
If we instruct you to send all or part of your appliance to us for repair or
replacement, our Customer Sasfacon representave will provide a Return
Authorizaon number (this number noes our receiving department to
expedite your repair). Pack your unit carefully in a sturdy carton with sucient
padding to prevent damage because any damage caused in shipping is not
covered by the warranty.
Print your name, address and Return Authorizaon number on the carton.
Write a leer explaining the problem. Include the following: your name, address
and telephone number and a copy of the original bill of sale.
Aach the sealed envelope containing the leer inside the carton. Insure the
package for the value of the NESCO
