GENERAL INFORMATION

The ﬂoor media kit is used to give a more natural appearance to the

ﬁreplace ﬂoor where the gas log set is installed.

READ ALL THE STEPS BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION

THE APPLIANCE MUST BE OFF AND COLD BEFORE BEGINNING.

ALL WARNINGS, PRECAUTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS IN THE

INSTALLATION AND OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE

APPLIANCE APPLY TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

If you encounter any problems, need clariﬁcation of these instructions

or are not qualiﬁed to properly install this kit, contact you local

distributor or dealer.

If any of these parts are missing or damaged, contact your dealer or

WARNING

• Make sure the unit is turned off and cool before

adding ﬂoor media material to ﬁreplace ﬂoor.

• Do not add extra logs or ornaments such as pine

cones, vermiculite or glowing embers (rockwool).

Using these added items can cause sooting. Use

only the material included in this kit.

• Do not place volcanic stone, embers or ﬁber log

pieces on logs or burners. This may cause sooting.

Place ﬂoor media material only on the ﬁreplace ﬂoor.

INSTALLING FLOOR MEDIA KIT

1. Place volcanic stone on the hearth/ﬁreplace ﬂoor around the base

of the log set. No volcanic stone shall cover any portion of the

burner ports and/or pilot.

2. Place decorative log pieces randomly on volcanic stone. No log

pieces shall be placed on or near any burner or pilot. No log pieces

shall have ﬂames impinging or contacting them as this can cause

sooting.
