1. Mounting Instructions: Leave a
clearance of at least 16ʺ (400 mm) to the left of the
controller box to allow the cover to be removed
for maintenance.
2. Cable Entry: Punch holes at the bottom of
the enclosure to allow wires to be introduced in
the controller. Do not drill the top or side panels
of the enclosure.
3. Alarm System: Installation of a good quality
alarm system is strongly suggested to warn of
power failures and high/low temperatures.
4. Surge Protection: Provide a surge
protection (including lightning protection) from
the power supply to the controller and from
the control to the probes. Consult a certied
electrician if required.
5. Low Voltage Wires: Install low voltage
cables at least 12 inches (300 mm) away from
high voltage cables (120, 230 or 380 Vac or
24 Vdc). Always use twisted shielded cables
to wire low voltage devices and always cross
high and low voltage cables at a 90° angle.
This applies to:
- Sensor cables
- Potentiometer cables
- Communication cables
- Computer link cables
- 0-10V loads
- All other low voltage devices.
6. Voltage Selection: Set the voltage selector
to the proper position : 115 or 230Vac.
7. Water Meter: The water meter output
should be a dry contact and should not pulse
faster than 60 times a second (60Hz). A 22/12
AWG gauge cable no longer than 2000 feet
(0.6 km) can be used to connect the water
meter. Do not use a cable longer than 2000 feet
even if a larger cable is used. Do not run the
meter cable outside the building!
8. SureLink-2 Module: Refer to the user’s
manual of the SureLink-2 module to set the “End
of line (EOL)” selectors properly.
9. Digital Inputs: The function of each digital
input must be dened in the “Digital Input” tab of
the controller.

Setting the ID Numbers of the
Communication Boards
Each group of 8 relay inside the Output Panel CS
is associated to a communication board behind the
front panel. A unique ID number must be given to
each communication board in use. The table below
gives the ID numbers for each of those boards.
Comm.
Board# Relays# ID

1 Relays 1-8 ID# 1
2 Relays 9-16 ID# 2
3 Relays 17-24 ID# 3

To assign an ID number to a communication board,
use the block of switches located on each board. The
table below shows how to set the switches for each ID
number.
