these roles and applying common sense, possible
personal injury and potential damge to the

personnel and equipment are clear of the
spreaer spray area.
I CAUTON:
· Do not operate a spreader in need of
maitenance.
· Before operatig the spreader, reassemble
any pars or hardware removed for
cleaing or adjusting.
· Before opratig the spreader, remove
materis such as cle,ing rags, bnnshes,
and hand tools from the spreader.

1. Unplug license plate light sockets from
bumper (1 per side).
2. Support bumper and remove bolts securig
bumper mounting brackets to frame (3 per
side).

3. Remove bumper and brackets by sliding
down and back.
4. Losen bolts seurg bumper brackets to
bumper (Do not remove.).

5. Position rear subfre brackets to frame rails
and align holes. Install one 1l2ttxl-l/211 hex
he,ad capscrew,with 112'~ flat washer down
though slot in lower frame flange and mount
bracket. Secure with 1.2" locknut. Repeat for
opposite side. See Figure 3.
CAUTION: Before drling any holes,
. . .... check bo side of thè mateial for any
wires, fuel lines, fuel taks, etc. that may be
damged by drlling.
6. Using rear mount bracket as a template,
enlarge existing 3/8H hole in lower frame
flange using a 17/32" ddll (1 per side).
. 7. Insta1/2-13xl-1I2" bolt, washer, and
locknut as in step 5.
8. Instal bumper with bumper brackets outside
of rear subfninie mount brackets. Align holes
and seure using 112-13xl;.1I2" bolts and
locknuts (3 per side). See Figure 4.

Subframe Assembly
i. Insert receiver hitch into sub frame mounts to
furest (narw) position and align holes.
2. Instal two 5/8" x 4H grade 8 bolts per side
(four tota) and washers (one on each side of
the crosstube). See Figure 5.
3. Position front brackets inside of sub frme and
retain with one 1/2" x 1-1/2" grade 5 bolt,
1I2tt flat washer and 1/2" locknut. See Figure
5.
Subframe Assembly Installation
i. Position assembled subfrae under trck
between two rear mountig brackets"
2. Instal two 1I2" x 1-1/2" grade 5 bolts, and
1/211 locknuts (per side) to hold subframe to
1"Car bniç.kçts.S(; PigUl'C 6.
3. Swing front of subfre assembly up until
front brackets are seated agaist bottom frme
flange.
CAUTION: Before dring any holes,
. check both sides of the material for any
wirs, fuel lines, fuel ta, etc. that may be
daaged by drilling.

4. Using.bracket as a.template., center punch and
dril1 two 17/32'. holes in bottom flange of
frae (2 per side). See Figure 6.

the bolts inside the fre~ Retan with 1/2"

Secondary Frame Assembly
1. Position center seondary frame sections
between curb and drver-side seconda
fre sections. See Under-Frame Mount
Assembly drawing on page 8.
NOTE: Secondar frame
must be assembled

Top of center section should be approximately
six inches above top of vertical tube. The notch
in the top cross..member must face reaward.

Mounting the Secondary Frame
'1. Position secondar frame behind trck and
insert mount bars of secondar fre into
subfre pockets. See Figure 7.

3. Instal two 3/4'~ pins though subframe and
seconda frame.
4. Retan 3/4" pins by instaling 3/16" linchpin
into bole in 3/4ll pins. See Figure 8.

1. Lift hopper assembly and tip slightly forward.

2. Position tabs on the hopper assembly over the
top of the instaled secondary frame assembly
and lower the hopper assembly. See Figure
10.

3. Allow hopper assembly to rotate until the
bottom contacts secondar frae assembly .
4. Insert hold-down pins on each side and secure
with hairpin cottrs. See Figure i 1.
