1. Remove outer casting by loosening the compression and rebound rod adapters clockwise.
2. Note how many spacers are on your rebound and compression rod. Replace nesting spacers (A)
with equal amount of flat spacers (B), included in this kit on compression rod.
3. Nip off bumper (C) on rebound rod using a side cutters. Remove spacers. Using a plastic pick
replace (C) with the rubber ring. Reinstall spacers.
4. Clean if necessary and grease dust seals on outer casting.
5. Fully extend both rebound and compression rods.
6. Install casting halfway.
7. Add 15 cc of semi bath into each outer leg.
8. Reattach both the compression and rebound rod at a torque of 35–40 in lb [3.95–4.5 N m] by
turning the adapters counterclockwise. Pressurize Mastodon to desired PSI.
